Chapter 12: You Changed

Chara's POV

When mom was done reading to us about snails we headed to do our own things, I called out to Mack when I was alone in my room, and he appeared in front of me. "Let's go..." I growled, he stared at me for a moment but obeyed my order and followed me to Snowdin. I decided to come here since I might run into dad, but I also want to sit in the snow and maybe stay here a little while talking to other people. "What's wrong Chara? You've been acting strange ever since I showed up to take you here." Mack asked, I sighed. I'm gonna have to tell him the truth at some point. I thought.

"If it weren't for me coming here, you wouldn't be dead and I wouldn't be stuck down here! I hate myself for doing this and it's my fault I've grown so attached to this family." I explained, Mack listened to every word. "I know you don't think it's bad at all to live with a family who loves me, but they don't give me enough time to hang out with you because they worry too much. I miss being alone with you in your shop!" I complained to him, but he shook his head.

"You should be happy that this family loves you! Chara, do you realize there was a war hat broke out between us and the monsters? Yet your new family doesn't care that you're a human!" He explained to me, but I didn't like the fact he didn't agree with me. "Asriel, Toriel, and Asgore all love you very much. And you shouldn't take them for granted! You should give them he same amount of love they give you." I sighed but I was still mad.

"Whatever...Lets go do something." I said, changing the subject. He shook his head then followed me to a huge snow patch where no one was at. I plopped down into the cold snow, then Mack did the same. I looked around at the fresh snow pile around us, the I looked up to see a short skeleton wearing a blue coat, black shorts, and pink slippers running towards us! "Oh hey Sans!" Mack shouted to the short skeleton, He knows this guy? I thought, I was so confused.

"Hey Mack, who's this?" Sans asked, looking over at me. I waved at him and smiled a fake smile. "My names Chara! Nice to meet you." I said to him, he waved and turned his attention back to Mack. "You need to visit our house again sometime! That was fun!" He laughed, Our house? I wondered if he lived with someone else. "Papyrus loves your jokes, even though they're like mine and he hates mine." He laughed again, "I'll be seeing you, bye Mack!" And with that, Sans disappeared into the town of Snowdin.

Sometime after we encountered Sans the skeleton, me and Mack ended up going to Grillby's. We ate in a small booth, Mack told me about Sans and his brother Papyrus. They sounded really awesome, but something about that Sans made me wonder about him. "Mack, Sans just met me for the first time right?" I asked, Sans gave me that look when he first met me like he knew me from somewhere. "Yes, Sans gives everyone that look like he knows them!" How did he know that's what I was thinking of? I sighed.

"Maybe next time I go there, you'll come with me?" Mack asked, hoping I'd say yes. "Just to warn you though, Papyrus likes to capture humans as a joke, but his friend Undyne takes it seriously." Weird, maybe dad doesn't like humans but likes me.. "Sure, I'll go! But im gonna have to ask my parents first, but since they know you I think they'll let me!" I smiled, and then we headed out of the restaurant and back to my house. Mack hugged me goodbye and I stepped inside the house, still upset about growing so attached to this family.

"Hey Chara! Back so soon?" Asriel said from the living room when he saw me. I shut the door and walked towards him. "Mom just finished making dinner, she said not to touch it on the oven because it's still hot and cooking a little. Dad already took out his bowl and put it off to the side on the counter." Asriel explained, then something sparked in my brain. There's the yellow flowers in a vase in the kitchen right? And its poisonous that can make you sick right? I smirked inside my head, I might poison dad...but he won't die!

I slowly walked into the kitchen and found dads food, So if I put it in his soup...it should work! I planned in my head, then I took out a flower from the vase and mashed it up. Then I sprinkled it in the soup, but I made sure to add pepper to make it look like a seasoning. Once I was done I walked out and towards Asriel, "Hey Asriel!" I smiled. "Chara look," He pointed towards a book on moms shelf in the living room. "There's a new one!" I saw a new book, it was nice and shiny.

It was a book about a type of flower, but not just any flower. It was the flower I put in dads soup! Why do they have that? I wondered. Then it hit me. I told them about my family, and they know about my secrets... They think ill murder them with the flower so they want to learn more about it! I clenched my fists. "Asriel, get that out of the house...Now." I commanded him. "But why--" "NOW!" I shouted, and he obeyed.
