Chapter 15: My Plan

Chara's POV

I tugged on the doorknob but it wouldn't budge, kicking and punching the door until it broke down, I thought about what Asriel was thinking of me right now. Does he hate me? Does he still love me? I couldn't tell, but he was still sitting in the bathroom, probably wishing he could disappear. "Please Asriel! Come out of the bathroom!" I whined, still pounding on the door. But through the loud noises of my kicking and punching, I heard his voice. "No..Just leave me alone. I'll come out when I want to. Fine then, I guess I'll just have to leave.. I walked away, and into the kitchen. I looked everywhere for something to open that door, then I saw it. I saw the gleaming tool, it was my chance to finally break down the door!

I picked it up, along with an apple. I took the apple and chopped it down into bite-sized pieces to make sure the tool was sharp enough, took a piece off the counter and popped it into my mouth. "Delicious." I smiled, then I slowly walked back to the bathroom door. I hope he's still in here.. I slipped the knife into my hand from my pocket and held it up, the door was the knifes enemy, not mine. I walked closer to the door, and finally pierced the knife into the center of the door! Taking a step back, I looked at what the knife had done to the door. It left a perfectly shaped line that told anyone "That was a knife" but I don't think mom or dad can notice.

"Huh? What was that?!" Asriel yelped, footsteps followed by his screaming. "Mom! Dad! Chara threw a knife at the bathroom door! She's trying to kill meeeeeee!!" He shrieked. Such a tattle tale. I shook my head in disappointment, "I thought you knew better then to tattle on your older sister." I told him through the door, I heard a thump on the other side of the door. What is he doing? Then all of a sudden, I foot came flying out of a hole in the door! A fluffy white paw, it was definitely Azzy's. "Mom! Dad! Asriel put a hole in the bathroom door with his foot! He's trying to hit meeeeee!" I mocked Asriel's shrieking, laughing as I did so.

"STOP IT CHARA! YOURE BEING MEAN!" He shouted, he sounded really mad now. Maybe I should stop...Nah! "Asriel! That hurt, stop kicking meee!!" I mocked him again, but this time, his foot didn't move through the hole in the door. It went onto the bathroom floor and stomped down. "STOP!" His voice echoed in my brain, then everything went quiet. "Just..tell me your plan already.." He sighed, finally giving in to me. Yes! And I didn't even need to break down the door. He opened the damaged door and quickly but cautiously walked out to my side. He followed me into the living room and to the front door, then we headed out into the flower field.

Once we sat down outside, I began to explain. "It all started with dad getting sick..."

"My plan was to get dad sick with these golden flowers, and that obviously worked out perfectly so our next thing we need to do is ask mom and dad for their permission to let us go to the castle. If they let us go there, we need to know who's job is who's because we'll need to split up in order to fulfill this plan. So once we're at the castle one of us is going to distracted mom, then the other is going to go to the room where dad keeps his soul boxes. The one who sneaks into the soul box room will steal the souls, absorb them and shatter the barrier! And once we take on the barrier..We must kill all of the humans in order to survive up there. You're a monster from the underworld and I'm the human who killed her family.. Are you with me?"

I waited for a response, he pondered for a while but soon enough he answered.

"Umm..I don't know Chara, this sounds like a big plan to overcome. I don't think it'll even work because I don't know if dad even keeps the souls in there anymore! This also doesn't sound safe at all, a human that tries to absorb another humans soul could potentially kill that human, along with destroying the soul. And a monster that absorbs that many human souls at once can give them great power, and that can be very dangerous because I could end up killing other monsters like mom or dad! I really don't want to do this but if it means you'll always be with me...I'll do it."

"Great! So we should probably ask them tomorrow and see if we can go with mom to the castle since dad can't because he's sick." I told Asriel, but he didn't stop there. He asked another question about my plan! "Wait, why did we have to get dad sick in the first place? What does that have to do with anything?" I rolled my eyes He doesn't get it does he.. I thought. "We needed to get him sick because he would get in the way of our plan, he won't die but he'll be sick for some time until I give him the antidote. He wouldn't let us get out of his sight, but mom would be too busy to notice we were even there in the first place let alone see me or you absorb the souls and break the barrier." I explain, Hopefully he understands now because if he doesn't I will take that video camera and make a video explaining it so I don't have to constantly repeat myself.

"Oh! I get it now. But can we go inside? It's getting cold for some reason, we don't exactly live in Snowdin you know." Asriel giggled, then he ran inside the house and shut the door behind him. He's right, it is cold out here and Snowdin is like 5 to 10 miles from here! "Mack? Is that you bringing in the cold air to the Ruins?" I asked no one in particular, I heard a rustle in the flowers, then Mack's head popped out like a mole. "Heya Chara! Nice plan you got going there, can I join? I didn't like many humans myself either." He asked, laughing and smiling as he did so. I just smirked and rolled my eyes, I walked up to him and pulled him out of the golden flowers.

"Why are you hiding in the flowers? Is it already time to take me back to Snowdin?" I asked, hoping it wasn't. I'm not to fond of cold weather. Especially in Snowdin, it's too cold and the monsters there are odd, mostly those skeleton brothers Sans and Papyrus. "Yup! Are you ready or do you need to tell Azzy first?" "Hey! No one calls him that except me! And yes I do." I shot at Mack, he laughed and waited in the flowers. "I'll be waiting out here!" He called out as I walked into the living room, it was so warm in here that I didn't want to leave.

"Asriel! I'm going to Snowdin with Mack, tell mom and dad I'll be back later!" I shouted to Asriel, who was in our room. He was probably drawing something or reading a book. I love my little brother, even if he is a monster.. I smiled, then walked back outside. And I walked straight into Mack's open arms, "GAHH!" I blushed, he smiled at me and kissed my forehead. "Ready to go now? Don't worry though, I brought a jacket for you this time." He handed me a black fuzzy jacket to put on before we headed to Snowdin.

"Thanks Mack, where'd you get this from? I feel like it's wrong to wear it." I asked as we started to head out. "You don't remember? It was your sisters, it was the jacket she was wearing when she died. I saw her in Heaven today and asked her for the jacket she was wearing since it was nice up there and it wasn't cold. I told her it was for you and she said she wanted to give it to you, she loves you still so much you know." My heart dropped to my feet, this was the jacket she was wearing when I killed her? And she actually loved me? I'm so confused, and scared at the same time. Dead people can come down from Heaven in two ways, by breaking their home barrier. Or hooking onto an object of some sort, mainly something that was there's.

Then I felt an arm wrap around me, I looked over at Mack's arms and they were both at his sides. But he was staring at my right and smiling like he was looking at a person. I looked to my right and saw her, it was Emmalyn. "Hello Chara, it's good to see you again."
