Chapter 18: Imginary Land

Chara's POV

"Hello there! Where are you from?" A voice asked me, I was still sleeping so I assumed it was Asriel playing a joke on me. I ignored the voice until it started to tap me, over and over. I lifted my head up and my eyes fluttered open to see a hideous green and blue creature with two heads and white eyes, it's gooey finger tapping my shoulder continuously made me want to barf. "The more important question is..WHO ARE YOU AND HOW DID YOU GRT IN MY HOUSE?!" The creature looked at me with a confused look on its blob part of a face, "This isn't your house! This is our house!" I was now more confused than ever, I looked around to see nothing but more of these weird looking monsters and a field of pink and purple grass!

Where am I? How did I get here? Wait! Emmalyn's knife, that must've sent me here! I dropped my head back into the pink patch of grass and closed my eyes, trying to fall back asleep and then magically wake up in my own world again! "Hey, wake up!" The gargling voice shouted, it pulled my arm to try and make me stand up, but I put all my weight down so it couldn't manage to lift me. "You need to register with the king!" The blob told me, then I perked up. "The King? What do you mean?!" Maybe this ruler of there's can help me find a way out! "He's our ruler and you need to register with him before you can become one of us!" The voice gargled and snorted as it talked, but I could still make out the words he was saying.

I stood up and brushed my pants off from the gross goo that dripped off the monster and onto me, the creature smiled it's nasty slimy smile and pulled and tugged at my shirt to follow it. We walked silently to the castle, which surprisingly wasn't very far away. And once we got to the doors, I noticed two humans standing guard! They looked normal, so I decided to wave at them, I immediately regretted doing that when I saw their faces. They were melting into the helmets they were wearing and you couldn't tell what was the eyes and what was the mouth! I shivered and I walked inside the very large and green castle.

"The King is in that room up ahead, I'll be waiting for you behind the doors." The creature pushed me all the way to the Kings room and stepped aside to the side of the doors, it gave me a slimy thumbs up and I slowly opened the door. I let go of it and it slammed loudly behind me, which made the King turn around in his chair to reveal himself! He was even scarier than the guards, he was green and orange and melting like the guards, but what made it worse was that he looked like jello because he jiggled every time he moved the smallest inch. It sent chills up my spine, and I closed my eyes.

"WAKE UP!" The King shouted, his voice was very deep and he growled with every breath. "I'm sorry sir, I just want to get home-" He started laughing when he heard the word home, "You think your getting home?! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! You're a funny monster Chara!" How does he know my name?! "I WILL KILL YOU WITH EVERY OUNCE OF ENERGY I HAVE IF YOU DONT LET ME GO HOME!" I shrieked at the top of my lungs, it shook the ground under me and the King jiggled his very large belly at the sound of it. "I see...well, let me just sign these papers...NOT! AHAHAHA! You think that'll scare me!" The King laughed even harder than before, his body jiggling and shaking his desk and his chair.

I screamed and stomped my foot on the ground, and he stopped laughing and moving. "Look, if you think you can leave. Be my guest! The door to your world is outside in the fields, but I warn you...My subjects, they want more monsters to play with. And they'll do anything in their power to stop you from leaving!" The King explained, and I remembered the scary creatures outside in the fields. That explains a lot! I sighed. "Thank you sir..." He smiled that gooey smile. "I wish you the best of luck.." He waved me off and I turned around and walked out the door, forgetting that the one monster was still waiting for me I got scared and punched him when I saw him!

"Heheh...I know you want to leave...I heard everything. You aren't going to leave your best friends are you?" The monster turned its head and looked me in the eyes, it sent a shiver up my spine. "Leave me alone!" I screamed, which alerted the guards and they came bellowing down the hall. "WHATS WRONG?!" The guards huffed and puffed, trying to see what the problem was through their sweat in their eyes. "This newbie is trying to leave!" The creature told them, and they stopped huffing and glared at me.

"Heh..You really think we're going to let that just happen?" They asked in unison, which made it sound in scarier than their voices. They began to walked closer to me, hands out towards me and if they were going to grab me! I took off running, and I didn't dare to look back. I was in the fields when I saw the door! It was glowing bright yellow and was open, I could see my escape! So close!! Then as soon as I was about to step through the doorway, two monsters stepped in front of me, they blocked my way of freedom!

I tried to push through their blubber but it was no use, I just bounced back. "Woooah, what's the rush? You don't think you're leaving do you?" They asked, sending another shiver up my spine. They were staring right through me, it felt like they were reading my thoughts. "Come play with us...Play...play...play..." The two creatures chanted, I turned around to see more of the monsters coming towards us chanting as well. "Play..play..play.." The chants got louder and closer as more creatures joined in their chants and pleads for me to stay. "Stop! Stop it! GO AWAY!" I screeched at the top of my lungs, but they didn't. They got louder and started walked after me, that's when I took off running at full speed.

I didn't know where I was going but I was going to get out of here, one way or another! "Play with us Chara!" A few of them said in sweet voices, but I wasn't falling for their tricks. I kept running until I finally found a small alleyway with a few garbage cans, I decided to hide behind them. I ran into the alley when they weren't looking and quickly took cover behind the cans. I soon heard their chants of horror and their footsteps coming down the path that led me here, and I couldn't breath. But they quickly passed the alley and headed straight forward towards another part of this crazy chaos town, How did they not see me go in here? I wondered, but when I thought they were gone I slipped from behind the cans and headed to the front of the alley.

I peeked around the corner back towards the door out and saw that it was clear! I'm home free! I thought excitedly, I took off at full speed to the door. It's right there! It's so close I can taste it! Then my dreams came to a sudden crash when a blob monster stepped in front of me and blocked the way! "Not so fast! You aren't leaving..." I whimpered, "Please don't hurt me! I beg of you, just let me go home!" A hand came down and patted me on the shoulder, trying to soothe me. "Hey, I'm helping you out here! You aren't leaving without this!" The monster whisper-shouted, I recognized that voice anywhere. I looked up to see the face of the Imaginary Land King!

He handed me a bottle of some weird sparkling liquid, I took one glance at it and wanted to throw up. An eyeball sat inside the small bottle and turned to look at me, I shivered. "Take this medication, after leaving here you might come down with a type of virus. Drink this medicine when you start feeling queasy or light-headed, and if you don't... You'll become very--" the Kings voice was cut off by the sounds of the angry mod coming towards us, and I swung the door open and hopped in. I heard the King say goodbye, but by the time he slammed the door it was too late to say anything back. What was the end of his sentence? What is going to happen if I don't drink this gross liquid? Those questions were battling in my brain for as long as I could remember, until the portal swirls knocked me out. And everything was white...
