Asriel's POVI was sitting at home, wishing for Chara to be here when all of a sudden a bright white light glowed through the our bedroom! "What the heck?!" I saw the light get bigger and bigger, it made no noise...Just a bright light. "AAAAHHHH!!" I shrieked, the light was filling the whole room, sucking me into its shining glare. It was so silent in the room, except for my screams for help. Mom wasn't in the house right now, she was busy picking golden flowers so I was all alone in the quiet house. I soon got used to the light and stopped screaming, I sat down quietly as the light didn't move. "WOOOOOAAAAH!!" A voice shouted from inside the light, which I didn't think it was possible but...this light could be a portal!
"Who's there-" Suddenly and human came flying out of the portal and landed on top of me, I was terrified and confused. Then in a flash, the bright shining light was gone, filling my room with the only light of my lamp. My eyes soon adjusted to the difference in light and when they did, Chara was on top of me! "CHARA!" I squealed, my arms swung around her and gave her a giant bear hug. She giggled, and hugged me tighter, and she didn't let go. "I'm so glad you're back..." I whispered, she nodded and let go of me, she slowly stood up and opened the door. "Let's go get mom." She smiled, holding a hand out for me to grab.
I happily grabbed it, and we walked out into the living room and outside to the flower field. "MOM MOM! CHARAS BACK, LOOK!!!" I shouted, jumping up and down pointing at Chara. Moms head whipped around and she was smiling, that smile I've only seen when I make her really happy. "MY CHILD!" Mom dropped her basket of golden flowers and grabbed Chara, spinning around and hugging her tight. Chara coughed loudly, and was having trouble breathing. When mom set her down she began coughing louder, wheezing whenever she tried to breath. "Chara, are you ok?" I asked, taking her hand again. "Yea...COUGH COUGH! I'm fine!" She smiled a big smile, but I knew that was her fake smile.
Once we were back in our room Chara had stopped coughing for a while, we were happily drawing together when she asked me the weirdest yet great question. "Asriel...where's dad?" I shrugged, "Let's go ask mom!" She dropped her crayon on the table and followed me out the door, and then we found mom sitting in the living room reading. "Where's dad?" We asked in unison to mom, she shut her book and looked at us. "I don't know...I'm starting to get worried about him." She stood up and started to look around the house, his room, the basement, the kitchen. But he was nowhere to be found! Chara opened the front door and stepped outside, "Azzy! Let's go look around town!" I followed her out the door, shutting it behind me and we set off to Snowdin and all the towns after that...

"We looked everywhere Asriel...he's not anywhere!" Chara stopped walking once we were in Hotland, and she gave up. "Wait! Where have we not looked...THE CASTLE!" Chara and me both face palmed, Seriously...we didn't bother to look in the one place he obviously is? I thought angrily to myself. And so we set off, walking quickly to the castle which wasn't far away from Hotland. "Azzy? Why do you think Emmalyn wanted to send me and you to that place?" Chara asked breaking the silence in our walk, I just shrugged because I really had no clue either. "I guess she's just jealous of our friendship!" She giggled trying to lighten the mood, which honestly made it a lot better.
"Boy is it hot here! We shouldn't have worn our sweaters if we knew we were coming to Hotland!" I sighed while fanning myself from the heat. Chara was sweating as well, the little sweat drops dotted her forehead like a sparkly necklace. "When will the heat ever end!" Chara whined loudly, making the other monsters in town turn and stare. "Hello dearies~ Welcome to my spider bake sale ahuhuhuhuhu~ All proceeds go to real spiders...~" A voice asked us in a quiet yet terrifying voice, it sent a shiver up my spine causing me to stop walking and turn around to see who said that. I looked over my shoulder to see a bake sale set up in the middle of Hotland, and behind the stand was a tall spider lady wearing a dress and two big bows.
"Umm...No thank you Ms. But thanks for the offer!" Chara said trying to be nice, and with that we started walking away. "Have a good day dearies, ahuhuhuhuhu~" I was out of that area as fast as I could, that spider lady was freaking me out! "Asriel look! We're almost there!" Chara pointed to the tall castle in the distance, and I was more than grateful to see it. We started running towards it at full speed, which only got us breathing heavily and stopping after a minute. "Alright...let's...just walk!" I stuttered through deep breaths, Chars nodded in agreement.

"Dad? Dad where are you?" I called out. We were inside the castle looking for father, we were near the throne room and the soul room. "Azzy, he's in here!" Chara whisper-shouted to me from the throne room. I saw her walk inside and I followed her in, she was right father was standing right there. He was looking down at his golden flower garden and whispering things that we couldn't understand. "Dad? You need to come home now." I started to shake him lightly but he didn't say anything, I shook him a little harder still nothing!
"DAD YOU NEED TO COME HOME! STOP BEING WEIRD AND COME WITH US!" Chara finally shouted at the top of her lungs, and it actually worked! Dad was out of his weird trance and was now staring at the both of us, he had a perplexed look on his face. "Kids? How did I get in the castle?!" Dad looked so confused as he frantically looked around the throne room. "Dad calm down, you seriously down remember anything of how you got here?" I asked now just as confused and scared as he was, "I do not! Can you please take me back home?" Dad asked in a nervous tone, we nodded.
Once we were back home, Mom took dad back to his room to give him some soup and have him rest. I thought Chara was going to be fine but I was wrong, she began coughing and wheezing all over again. Each time worst and longer than the last, it was starting to freak me out. "Chara are you sure you aren't sick?" I asked. She nodded because she was still coughing. "I'm just going to lay down and take a nap..." She sighed quietly, she quickly jumped the bed and covered herself up with the blanket. I gave her some space by stepping out the room, shutting the door behind me.
"ASRIEL! MOM! DAD! AAAGGGGH!!" Chara startled me by screeching at the top of her lungs for us, and I immediately sprung into action. I swung the door open and ran to her aid, and she looked horrible! Her face was pale and her eyes looked as if all the life was poured out of them, she was holding her stomach and groaning in pain. "What's wrong?!" I asked frantically, she stopped moaning. "I can't...move...the pain...hurts..." And with that she began to sob, I had no choice but to get mom.
But she was already barreling down the hall towards our room. "OH MY CHILD!" Mom shouted, running to Chara's side looking more worried than I was. "ARRGGGH!!" I stepped out of the room to give them some space. Please let Chara be ok, she's my only sister and I love her so much! We may have had our fights and arguments but that doesn't mean I don't love her to pieces. She doesn't deserve this pain and suffering and should be able to feel better once again, I just want her to be happy. She's my older sister and I look up to her not only as my sibling...but my best friend too. And if she dies...I won't have anyone to travel the underground with! I began to cry, I sat down against the bedroom door with my head in my knees. I love you Chara....
