CHAPTER 5
SINK
SARADA UCHIHA
I had a sinking feeling as soon as Naruto left. Something felt wrong, like something horrible was about to happen. But then I felt my mama wrap her arms tighter around me.
"I was so worried, Sarada!" She whispered into my ear. "Honestly..."
"I'm sorry mama." I said, leaning into her warmth. She was here, I could stop being the leader, I felt like a huge weight had been lifted off of me. I was eager to just let the adults take over and fix this.
'All of you are okay?"
"Yeah, we didn't land on a house like you guys." I said to her. My attention was still fixed on Naruto, who was still upset with himself. This is the weirdest situation...
"You wouldn't happen to know the way out of here..." Shikadai said.
"Actually..." Hinata said slowly. "We don't. We do know that the scroll is on this side too. So that means that if we find it, we could find a way to analyze and then reverse the jutsu so it would take us back."
"Well...that's helpful...I guess." I said quietly. At least now we know that the scroll exists in this dimension.
"We better go and find them." Hinata said, sounding clearly worried. "I don't want them to get themselves in trouble. They are both so good at that." She thought for a second. "It should be easy enough to find Naruto's chakra. She closed her eyes and then opened them. "Byakugan!"
"Can you see them?"
Hinata squinted, turning slowly in a circle. "Why...?" She spun again, even slower. "I think I see him, it's just..."
"What?"
"His chakra..." She squinted. "It's almost gone."
"How...?" Sakura stood, lifting me with her. "What happened?"
"I don't know." Hinata took off, running at light speed. All of us followed. None of us were as fast as her, she was so terrified, I could feel the weight in my gut grow with every stride. Something horrible happened.
"Boruto...what did you do...?" I muttered as I ran. I knew we were in the right place as we saw the crowd. I ran up to one of them. "What happened?!"
"They carried him out of here on a stretcher. We're not sure what was wrong with him."
"What did he look like?" I said panicked. Then I heard Hinata's cry fill the air. I ran past the crowd and found Lady Hinata. She was on the ground, clutching onto Naruto's robes.
"He's gone..." Hinata said quietly, tears streaming down her face. "His chakra...it just disappeared."
"No." I felt the world spin around me, my head was so dizzy, I felt like I was going to fall down. I looked through the crowds, searching for Boruto...where is he...where is he?! My hands started to shake, where did he go.What happened to them? Was it my fault?! What happened to Naruto-sama?! Boruto-kun!
A man touched my shoulder. "Did you know the man?"
"Yes." I said quietly.
"I can take you to him...that woman..." He said looking down at Hinata. "Is she his wife?"
"Yes." I said again. The world was still spinning. "There was a boy too, he's short, he's got blond hair and...blue...blue eyes."
"Boruto?" He said. His words shook me.
"Yes."
"He's fine. I can take you to them."
"Please." I touched Hinata's arm, and I looked into her eyes. "Let's go." Hinata stood, and we both followed the old man, as he lead us up to a building with multiple floors, spotted with windows. From the sign on the front, I could tell that this was the hospital in this time.
My mom ran up behind me. "What happened?"
"You'll see." Said the old man, shushing her.
"Boruto..." That...stupid, stupid idiot. I felt a tear run down my face, but I was quick to wipe it away. No one would see me cry.
Author's Note...just briefly don't worry.
Sarada has both Uchiha and Senju blood. With Uchiha on her dad's side, and Senju on her mom's. Because of this blood, she can develope the Rinnegan. It would however be strange if she developed it this young with her Senju association being so low.
