RECAP PART 2!!!

RECAP CHAPTER PART 2!!!

Here's another recap! I found that a lot of people found the last recap to be rather useful, and it's been a while since then, so let me clarify for y'all!

-Sai was killed by the Ten Tails, there are multiple chapters revealing his final thoughts and last moments. His last words were: "Do not give in to the easy. Live to travel the hard path...and be the strength for the weak. Smile, cry, laugh, live, die, and love. Do not give into the easy." Sarada's Mangekyou develops and her father swoops in at just the right moment to take Boruto and Sarada away from the scene, quickly putting a seal on Sai's body to transport it to a safer location.

-We have a flashback to Inojin's perspective back in the hospital. Inojin briefs the now awakened Sakura about the situation. Then after a commotion from the nurses, Sasuke comes bursting in to the hospital room and demands to know where his daughter is. Sakura asks to go with him, but in her weakened state she decides to stay. Now reassured by her husband, Sasuke leaves to go and retrieve his daughter.

-In the next chapter, we have a flash into Hinata's mind. The idea behind their comas is that because they're stuck in the past they have to experience their pasts again, which is it's own form of torture. Hinata recalls all the moments in her life that have made her a failure, and knows that her only strength and will is Naruto.

-Neji was left to battle Daichi (our main antagonist of the first arch). However before the fight can become more dangerous, a woman jumps between the two, saving Neji a deadly attack. It turns out that this woman is none other than Aimi Langfeng and the wife of Daichi, who was previously mentioned in the chapter Brightest Smile! (if any of you don't have a clue who Aimi was, I suggest that you reread that chapter, I tried to give as many clues as possible, but if you still didn't get it, feel free to reread!) She reveals to Daichi that he has a son, and that she forgives him for going the wrong path.

-Daichi; distraught by his wife's death, Daichi tries to commit suicide. But Neji convinces him that in order to honor his wife's name he has to live on and teach his son to take the right path through grief. Daichi asks for forgiveness and then sends Neji back to his friends.

-As Neji is sent through space time back to his friends at the temple in the past, he encounter Sai in his head. He talks to Sai, and questions him about why he died in his place. Sai explains that he wants Neji to have the chance to experience the fruits of life, such as love and family, and that a coward like himself was only capable of saving a hero. He says that he wouldn't be able to live with himself if he had to watch a comrade die again when he could have done something to prevent it. He explains to Neji that he wants him to look after his family and his son now that he's gone before he disappears.

-Then we have a flash into Naruto's mind as he suffers through his coma. In his dreams he recounts how many things he has lost, and the people he has watched die right in front of him. He recalls his anguished childhood and the loss of his parents. He recounts his failures, and his inability to save his friends. Naruto's heart stops as he recalls the memory in which he watches Hinata sacrifice herself for him.

-Then we go back to the plot with Boruto, Neji, and Sarada back at the temple in the past. Boruto finally waking up after getting knocked out, argues with Neji about Sai's death. He blames himself for Sai's death, but Neji forces him to see reason, and the truth that no matter what Boruto had done, Sai still would have sacrificed himself. In this chapter we can watch Boruto distinctly going the five stages of grief.

-They don't get to take a break from the action when Orochimaru and his goons come after them at the temple. Boruto is rendered useless just because of his lack of visual prowess. Now with her Mangekyou, Sarada can see as well as Neji with his Byakugan. They split up leaving Boruto behind. Boruto fights one of Orochimaru's goons and wins, but is immediately halted by none other than Orochimaru. Orochimaru is interested in Boruto's strange chakra (sensing the presence of the Nine Tails in him), Boruto only escapes thanks to his Nine Tails chakra.

-Now free of Orochimaru's pursuits, he finds Neji, gravely wounded, and brings him to the temple, urged on by the sound of Sarada's screams.

-With his now heightened vision, Boruto is able to find a crevice which reveals a long tunnel where he assumes Orochimaru has taken Sarada. He is almost immediately stopped by another one of Orochimaru's affiliates, one he decides to call Rat Guy with his strange face. But by using his chakra based brass knuckles, Rat Guy knocks out Boruto and drags him away into Orochimaru's lab.

-Back in the hospital with Inojin, Hinata wakes up from her dream and immediately wants to see Naruto. Inojin helps her into a wheelchair and takes her to see him. Finally relieved to be with her husband, she holds his hand and waits for him to wake up. Inojin leaves to room to check on Shikadai who is dozing in the lobby. After waking Shikadai, he says that he misses home. After leaving Shikadai to sleep in the hospital lobby Inojin is called back into the room by screams. Naruto codes again, and this time his heart doesn't start up again.

-Flashing into Naruto's mind we watch him see all the reasons that he has lived. He relives meeting his father for the first time, and then his mother. Images of his family and his friends flash through his mind, and he's reminded why he's been able to live on despite the trauma in the life of a hero. He choses his family and he choses to live.

-We flash back to Boruto in Orochimaru's lab. He's bound to a metal table and Orochimaru comes to visit him talking about how he's just done a surgery and how he's unfortunate to have such interesting friends. Orochimaru leaves Boruto burning with rage. Using his Nine Tails, he cuts through the restraints and breaks down the door. He races down the hall in search of Sarada. He finally finds the room with her in it only to find that Orochimaru has ripped out her eyes.

-Now in Sarada's point of view, she realizes what has happened to her and listens in horror as she hears Boruto being dragged away by Orochimaru for "his turn". She cuts through her restraints and fighting against her anesthesia she struggles down the hallways towards Boruto's screams. Orochimaru tells her that he's taking out all of Boruto's chakra. Just as Boruto collapses against the metal table, Sasuke swoops in after retrieving Sai's body.

-Hinata who is fighting to keep Naruto alive, falls asleep after a long night once Naruto stabilizes. In her dreams she watches as her son is tortured and killed right in front of her. She wakes up crying and tries her best to explain the dream to Sakura. She cries over Naruto and prays that he'll wake up. She gives him all of her chakra and she watches as he slowly starts to wake up.

-Sasuke takes Boruto and Sarada back to the temple where they quickly try to save Neji. Sasuke assures Sarada that Boruto will be fine, but watches in fascination as his blinded daughter begins to heal Neji. Sasuke asks her how it is that she's able to see. Amazed she realizes that somehow she's regained her ability to see. She explains that she must have a ghost Sharingan that never leaves her and allows her to have perfect vision all the time. But all of this is halted when Sasuke suddenly collapses the effects of being the past finally taking their toll. Then just as Sarada begins to help her father, she realizes that she's bleeding and then her vision goes dark.

-THEN WE HAVE THE LIGHT HEARTED PAINTING CHAPTER!!! It's the story of Sai and Ino's first date! I implore you to read it, I really liked writing it!

-Then finally the last chapter. Neji wakes up after being unconscious because of blood loss and watches as Sarada and Sasuke fall. Totally confused and horrified he crawls over to them, seeing all of his friends in a terrible state he's not sure what to do. He does his best with medical ninjutsu to keep Sasuke's heart beating. But he knows that should the ninja come again that there is no way he could protect them all. He hears a stick crack and looks up thinking to see the ninja from before, but instead the face of his friend, Naruto.

And there you have it! That was a lot to summarize...I hope it helped! I know a lot of the last arc has been really dark, but after this bit it gets better. Almost there guys! Once the story has finished I'll be writing OVA chapters for how the future turns out! I thank you all for reading this much of my story!!! I love you all!!!
