RECAP CHAPTER!!!
So...if I have managed to get you totally confused on what just happened....well...that's what this chapter is for. A basic recap of all of the events in this book. Get ready!
-Boruto, Sarada, Inojin, and Shikadai are messing around in the Hokage's office when Boruto does something really stupid, and activates a scroll...which he definitely shouldn't have been doing. The assumption is that the scroll controls space time and send them back to when their parents are still children.
-After getting into a mess when their younger parents inevitably...their actual parents show up. Or more specifically, Sakura, Hinata, Naruto, and Sai. Naruto (the Hokage Naruto) runs after his son, who ran off previously.
-Boruto....who's gotten himself completely lost...meets Jiraiya and finds his dad and panics. Naruto has collapsed in the street, and appears to be seizing. His condition is unexplained as he's taken to the hospital.
-More and more of the adults experience the same thing as Naruto and are rendered unconscious in a coma.
-Sai wake up after you get a brief peek into his brain with a couple of flashbacks. He forms a theory that they experienced this pain because they were from the future. Or more specifically this:
"It must have something to do with the time frame that we're in. Because we went back in time, we were forced to experience all of our pain again, I'm not sure, but that's the only sense I could make of it." I shook my head. My head was throbbing with one of the biggest headaches ever.
"Why didn't we experience it, then?" Boruto protested.
"Possibly because you don't even exist during this time." Boruto went silent. "If both your present self and current self were connected on the same time plane then..."
-So they decide to go on a quest with the now recovered Sai to look for the scroll in this time period, hoping that they can use it to send them back. With the help of younger Neji he leads them to a temple that he had previously visited on a mission, an ex-hideout of Orochimaru's, where he believes he saw the scroll.
-Along the way they encounter some bandits, which Boruto attempts to defeat, but ends up injuring himself, and Sarada finishes it up, sending the bandits crawling away.
-It's revealed that Boruto's leg has been poisoned and Sarada has to do surgery to extract the poison and keep it from spreading.
-Boruto and Sarada's relationship heats up.
-They head to the temple and go inside, but they can't seem to find the scroll. They are cornered inside by one of the bandits from before. Though he turns out to be FAR stronger than they expected.
-You meet the main antagonist who is dubbed Fred, though he has many more names. He says that he wants to kill them to bring pain to their parents and families. He's targeting Naruto by killing his son...get it? Okay....however they manage to escape and steal the scroll from him.
-Using the scroll they go forward in time...just a little bit...and go to the exact moment when Neji died.

P.s. a lot of those flashback scenes I used their actual words from either the anime or the manga, so cred goes to Masashi Kishimoto on the flashbacks and the characters, hopefully it made it more real for you guys!
