ANOTHER UCHIHA PT. 2
SASUKE UCHIHA
I semi-reluctantly gave my hand to her. When Sarada was born she had broken my hand, shattered it actually. She was always too strong. She immediately grasped my hand and I gnawed on the inside of my cheek in pain. Silent pain.
"OH GOD!!!" She breathed heavily. "You know-" She looked over at me, her brow covered in sweat, her eyes almost glowing. "I BLAME YOU FOR THIS!!!"
"Yeah, I know." I said feeling one of my fingers break under her overly strong hold. I didn't make a sound. I knew that my hand being shattered bone by bone was far less than what she was going through. She was deemed the "Queen of Childbirth" after struggling through almost a whole day of labor trying to birth Sarada. I pray to God that it won't be like that this time. It took months for my hand to heal properly, though Sakura enjoyed that I had to keep coming back to the village so she could keep fixing the brace on it.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!" There goes another finger. I looked to Karin for help.
"How far apart are they?"
"Half a minute." Karin said her gaze surprisingly focused.
"Is everything okay?"
"Fine." Karin said her hands going to work. "RELAX SAKURA!!!" She yelled over the sheet.
"I'M TRYING!!!" Sakura screamed back her face turning red. Her head collapsed back against her pillow. These are the moments that I really wish I had my other arm, I would wipe the sweat from her face, and try to calm her down. She only has one hand to hold. Sakura breathed heavily, her bangs fluttering away from her face in exhaustion. Her head turned over so she could look at me.
"Sasuke..." She murmured her voice revealing no emotion in particular. "This isn't fair."
"Hn." I said not sure how to respond.
"You get to stand there looking all hot and bothered while I do THIS?!" Sakura blushed turning away from me, her grip loosened on my hand a bit. "Don't be a shadow, shadow." She addressed me, her face turned away from me.
"Sakura..." I said her hand letting go of mine, as I gently touched her forehead. "You're beautiful. And I love you always, even like this."
"Sasuke! She turned back towards me suddenly, tears pouring from her eyes relentlessly.
"Sakura." I said in shock at her sudden change of emotion.
"I'm hormonal, okay?!" She said her voice turning raspy from screaming too much. "And...thanks." She smiled at me for half a second, before her entire body tensed up again, her hand finding mine and squeezing hard. "OH GOOOOD!" Her body shook all over. I couldn't really stand to watch her go through this, but I also couldn't stand it if I left her here alone.
"RELAX SAKURA!" Karin yelled again, her hands going to work under the sheet.
"OH GOD IT HURTS!!!" There goes another finger. It continued like this for another moment and then I watched as her body relaxed again, her body falling limply backwards.
"I'm sorry..." I said without thinking it.
"Sasuke!" She said immediately her eyes perking up in anger. "Don't be sorry! This is our baby, I wouldn't give anything to replace this moment. It may hurt like hell, but this is our baby. I wouldn't trade a single moment for this. Ever."
"Sakura..." I smiled. "What is the secret behind your strength?"
"I dunno." She groaned her grip tightening. "Stubbornness?" She contracted again, and her hand shook under mine. "Whatever it is, our kid is sure to be stubborn."
