CHAPTER 2
MY SON
BORUTO UZUMAKI
The next day, the pounding in my head didn't get any better. There were still so many unanswered questions. Sarada tried but no matter how bossy she acted, she really didn't know much more than we already did. Still we headed out the next day. Sarada still pretended like she had a plan: to go look at the temples! She said. 'They might have the scroll' she said. That was unlikely. I doubt that it will be that easy.
Anyway, she drug me out of bed WAY too early, and now, I'm walking like a zombie in circles because, just like yesterday, she doesn't have a clue where she's going. AT ALL. We would walk down one road just for her to turn us all around and go back. Each time she tried she got more and more angry until my every word caused her to punch me. She must be horrible on road trips.
"We're almost there!" Sarada said under her breath.
"Yuh huh." I said sarcastically.
"Shut up!" Sarada yelled clenching her fists in warning. She turned around and gave everyone the worst look ever: Say one more word and I will force a squirrel to maul your face! I'm pretty sure. But just as she turned around, a figure walked out from behind a tree, and bumped right into her.
"Whoa!" She said falling forward. "Watch where you're going you baka!" She said picking herself up. "I don't know who you think you are but-" She turned and stopped in her tracks. Her hands stopped clenching and her face spasmed like she had been tazed.
"P-" It was my turn to throw my hand over her mouth. Standing right in front of her was a person I knew as my sensei, and the man I knew was Sarada's father, and also one of the greatest ninja of all time. Sasuke Uchiha. But much, much shorter. Sarada had to be at least an inch taller than him. I almost laughed, but his sinister look made me stop.
"NaaAAGH. Bbgh Ssagh fghjn gghn." Sarada protested.
"You made me not say anything!" I argued, then she stopped struggling. I took my hand off her mouth.
"Sorry." Sarada said shortly.
"Yeah. It's your own fault, dumbass." Sasuke said smartly, stepping away from her. "Your friend has issues." He said to me as he passed.
"W-wait!" Sarada grabbed his shirt. "Papa!"
"What the hell?!" Sasuke said disgustedly. He violently shrugged her off. "Let go of me."
"Pa-" I clamped my hand over her mouth again. But instead of complying...well...she licked my hand.
"EW OH MY GOD AAAGH!" I shouted wiping her girly saliva on my pants. Oh God ew, ew, ew, ew! Right then, I reacted so furiously that I knocked the toad pouch right out of my pocket and right onto the left shoe of...my shitty old man.
"You..." Naruto said looking up at me. "You!" He grabbed me by the throat and even though we were about the same height he still hoisted me above him. "You thief! You snuck into my apartment!"
"Um..." I said struggling for air. Sarada still hadn't let go of Sasuke's shirt. He was now alternating from staring at the toad and Naruto and I. God must hate me.
"YOU STOLE FROM ME!!!" His eyes narrowed and he reached into his pouch for a kunai. But then, thankfully Shikadai reacted. He quickly made the symbol for Shadow Possession and caught Naruto in his shadow.
"Let him go." He said cooly. "We had to steal from you, we're sorry, but we didn't have any money. We were stuck in a very difficult situation."
"That doesn't make it right!" Naruto struggled against the Shadow Possession Jutsu.
