Wendy is hugging Dipper tightly, as she feels something on his chest.
"What...the...?" she whispers, sniffing, and sitting up. She sees markings on his chest. It looks like a 3 overlapping an M.
"G-Guys," she starts. "Look at this,"
Stan trudges over and looks.
"It's...some sorta mark," Stan grumbles, plainly.
"And...what's that mark on the palm of his hand...?" Wendy asks.
"It's...It's Bill!" Mabel sniffs.
"I feel like I've seen that guy before," Stan starts.
They all run inside, Wendy carrying Dipper. Stan is already looking up the mark on the Internet using Soos's computer.
"Kay...apparently, there's a legend that deep in the forest near here, of course, there live Three Mages," Stan says, reading it off of the webpage. He ignores the fact he's supposed to be an uncle that doesn't believe in the supernatural--this is Dipper's life he's dealing with now. He'll look for any mage if it means saving him.
Stan mumbles as he does more research, and Mabel sits on the ground, petting Waddles and crying over him.
Wendy stares at Dipper's lifeless face.
Grunkle Stan starts writing down secret codes and patterns that may help lead him there.
"You kids stay here, I'm gonna look for 'em," he states. "It says one of 'em is a Light Mage, who wields healing powers,"
"Wait...I have to go with you!" Mabel says, looking up.
"I'm gonna take this kid...you and Wendy need to stay here," Stan says, starting to take Dipper from Wendy, who pulls him back.
"No way...this is my brother we're talking about. I have to go," Mabel pleads.
"I'm not losin' another family member!" Stan shouts.
Mabel pauses. After a few seconds, she hugs Stan.
"You won't. I've got an amazing Grunkle to protect me," she says.
"I'm going too," Wendy says. "He...he was my best friend, and I'm gonna kick butt 'till we can bring him back,"
Stan sighs, and grins.
"Alright, fine," he says. "Let's go...and you better not be fly-weights,"
Stan pauses. "Hey, where's Soos!?"
Wendy shrugs.
"He should get here for work pretty soon," she states. Stan takes a piece of paper and writes a note on it.
"He'll take care of the shack till we get back. Now let's go!" Stan says.
Stan grabs a bag and stuffs his codes and notes into it. The three of them walk towards the outskirts of the forest. Wendy and Mabel await his direction.
"Huh, let's see...it says here to go north until you see a star. Well, that's specific," Stan mumbles.
"It could be anything...a literal star, a star carved into a tree, a star shaped rock, and random princess from another dimension named Star..." Mabel says.
"Welp, if they're gonna be that vague with it, it'll probably be pretty obvious when we see it," he concludes, starting north.
After walking three hours, Stan starts to question what he said earlier.
"Anyone seen a star!?" he grumbles.
"No," Mabel and Wendy reply monotonously.
"Wait a second! Look at that!" Mabel shouts, pointing.
Wendy and Stan look, expecting something big and obvious, but don't see anything.
"Uh, what?" Stan says.
Mabel walks up to a wild flower and points again.
"See?" she says.
Wendy and Stan glance at each other, confused.
Mabel puts her arms around both of their shoulders, and pushes their heads an inch away from the flower's center.
In the center of the flower, is a star.
"Well. That wasn't as big and extravagant as I thought it would be," Stan states.
"Alright, what next?" Wendy says. She frowns, and uncomfortably shifts Dipper, who is slung over her back.
"Uh...it doesn't say. It's like they skip a step or somethin'," Stan says, rubbing his head.
"Boop!" Mabel says, picking the flower, only the flower doesn't snap, it pulls upward.
They stand back as the ground beneath them begins to shake.
"Hold on tight, guys!" Wendy says, clutching Dipper tighter. Stan grabs hold of Mabel with one hand and steadies Wendy with the other.
The ground beneath them collapses, and they scream as they fall.
They land on sandy ground. They all grumble as they sit up.
"Jeez...welp, I think we found it," Stan says.
"Hey, where's Dipper?" Mabel says.
"He's over there!" Wendy says. Half of his body is in water. She pulls him out.
They glance around. They're surrounded by water, in what looks like a cave of sorts. Protruding out of the water is a stone pedestal. There are markings on it in code.
"Great. Stan, do you understand code or something?" Mabel mumbles, thinking her Grunkle is not the "coding type".
"It says...among you there is one who has not lied in many moons. If not, you shall not pass." Stan says.
Mabel and Wendy glance at each other in surprise.
"Well, I think we all nominate Mabel,"
Wendy says, and Stan agrees.
"I don't think I've lied in a while...the last time I lied was--" Mabel stops. Images of her zombie-bite and lying to Dipper about it flash into her mind.
She falls over and groans.
"Hey, sweetie, you alright!?" Stan says, helping her.
"I...don't know," Mabel mutters. "I suddenly must've remembered something scary from a nightmare or something,"
Grunkle Stan realizes she must not be able to remember what happened that whole time.
"Uh, yeah, you're probably right," Stan says, nervously. "Since Mabel's feeling under the weather, how about you go, Wendy?"
Wendy pauses, and scratches the back of her neck.
"Uh, not quite sure if I would match up either," she mumbles. "I've gotta be honest here--I've been lying about something for a while now,"
They all glance at Dipper.
"They didn't say they had to be alive..." mumbles Stan.
He slings Dipper onto his back gently and swims over to the pedestal. He lifts Dipper up onto it, and then swims back.
The pedestal glows, and there's a flash of white.
They all blink as they reappear in a white room.
Mabel gasps as they see a blonde haired teen with blue eyes and a white dress, holding Dipper and combing his hair.
"Oh, hello! I've been expecting youuu!" she chirps.(Note: Sorry I haven't written in a while, if anyone is reading this! I hope you stick around, there are very intense scenes coming up!)
