"Okay...glitter, check...lollipops, check...karaoke machine, check!" Mabel smiles, packing her things. "Right! My magic book..." Mabel says. She reaches for it and puts it inside.
"Alright, it's 6:50...better be fashionably early!" Mabel says excitedly, pulling out the invitation with the spell on it.
"Doubt this'll work, but if it does, it'll be awesome!" she smiles.
"Gizmhklig!" she shouts.
Wind suddenly starts swirling around the room, and a dark pulse comes from Mabel, when suddenly, she disappears.
She reappears in Gray's room.
"Whoa!" Mabel yells, falling over.
"So I was right!" Gray squeals. "You do have dark power hidden deep inside of you!"
"That's...that's crazy!" Mabel gasps. "You'd think I'd have light powers, or rainbow powers, or kitten powers or something!"
"Nope!" Gray giggles. "Just because you have darkness inside doesn't mean you have to show it outside! Like me! I control dark and light though,"
Mabel stands and steadies herself.
"Could something ever...I dunno, possibly go terribly wrong if I mess up one of the spells!?" Mabel asks.
"Not with practice!" Gray says. "Actually, there's a spell I want to teach you right now! Come on!"
Gray takes a seat on the floor and Mabel sits across from her.
"Alright...close your eyes, and recite this first," Gray starts. "Ovg gsv wzipmvhh rmhrwv!"
"Not quite sure how to pronounce that!" Mabel says.
"Just feel it, let it happen! Usually people who are just discovering their inner magic need to practice weeks and months before they can transport! That's saying something about you, Mabel!" Gray Mage nods.
"Oooookaaaay," Mabel says, closing her eyes. "Ovg gsv wzipmvhh rmhrwv!"
Darkness swirls out of the ground and out of the walls and surrounds Mabel. All at once, it goes into her. Mabel screams.
"Hey, you alright!?" Gray asks, once the darkness clears.
"Y-Yeah," Mabel gasps. "It was just...surprising! Like a burst of energy!"
"Yup! That was a dark spell...basically, darkness comes out of the atmosphere and enters you, giving you more dark energy to work with!" Gray explains.
"Now, for the fun spell! XZUUVRMV!"
"Okay! Here we go...XZUUVRMV!" Mabel shouts. Suddenly, they both feel more energized.
"That's a caffeine spell!" Gray giggles. "It lets you stay up all night without getting tired, with no sugar crash side effects! Just don't use it too many nights in a row, or it will start catching up with ya!"
"There are no words," Mabel whispers, eyes widening in happiness.Meanwhile, Dipper walks into their room with his journal in his hand.
"Whoa!" Dipper says, alarmed.
The room is a little messed up from Mabel's spell.
"Guess Mabel did some major rummaging...surprised she didn't pack the whole room!" he laughs, shaking his head.
He sits on his bed and starts to flip through the pages of the journal.
"What is that?" someone says, from right beside him.
"It's the info I've managed to collect on--!" Dipper starts, but then screams, and snaps his gaze to his side. "Who are you!?"
"Remember me?" White Mage asks, waving. "I saved you!"
"W-w-what are you doing here!? Now!?" Dipper asks.
"Oh, just checking on you!" she laughs. "How are things patching up?"
"Um, fine, I guess. Wait, you can't just...pop into places like that!" he says, frazzled.
"Oh, I'm sorry! I just...listen, I want you to know something." White Mage says, lowering her voice to a serious tone.
"Uh, yeah...?" Dipper asks, slightly scared to receive an answer.
"There's something I've been sensing...a threat that's rising. Something dark is coming. So I've come to ask for your help," White Mage replies. "I've seen your heroic acts in some newspapers,"
There's a silence as Dipper processes what she just said.
"Well, I'm flattered, but...how could I help you!?" Dipper asks.
"You're...not aware...?" White Mage cautiously asks.
"Aware of what exactly?" Dipper asks, quickly.
"You're inner strength?" White Mage asks.
"My what now?" Dipper asks, scratching the back of his head.
"You have light inside of you...so bright, I could feel it when I healed you," White Mage says. "Light powers, if you can learn to control them,"
"Uh-huh," Dipper says. "So you want to take me on as an apprentice and teach me light powers so I can help you beat an unknown dark force when the time comes, or something?" Dipper mumbles, sarcastically.
White Mage pauses.
"Well, yes, exactly!" she says. "For...light is dark's only weakness. And besides you and me, there is only a small tribe of light mages that can help,"
"How cliché," Dipper sighs. "Alright, prove it!"
"You tell me," White Mage says. "Please recite...Ovg gsv ortsg rmhrwv!"
Dipper rolls his eyes.
Finally, he quickly mutters under his breath, "Ovg gsv ortsg rmhrwv,"
Light suddenly swarms around him, and small lightning bolts surround him. His birthmark even glows.
"What is happening!?" he yells, falling down.
In one flash the light enters him, and it's done.
"Awe, you're first spell!" she says like a proud mother hen.
"What the heck, you crazy, crazy lady!" Dipper yells, pointing at her accusingly.
"You wanted proof!" White Mage retorts. "And I'm not the one who said the spell!"
Dipper mumbles to himself, standing back up, since he had fallen.
"So...what was that for, anyway?" he asks.
"It just energizes your light source," White Mage explains. "It'll make using it easier,"
"So what now? You want to meet up on Fridays for fish, chips, and magic training!?" Dipper asks sarcastically.
"Nope! Just take this," she says, handing him a book similar to Mabel's, but about light magic. "And this stuff stays between you and me...the darkness is always listening, waiting for an opportunity to strike those who personally get involved, who might be a threat,"
Dipper gulps and thinks of Mabel.
"Right..." he mutters.
"Good," White Mage says, winking. "I'll check on you later! Thanks, my hero!"
White Mage disappears in a flash of light.
Dipper sighs.
"I want to help stop evil, if there is any coming, but...what have I gotten myself into...!?" Dipper sighs. Then, he remembers all the info he can now write in his journal about what just happened, and writes away."Now listen," Gray says, seriously.
"This magic thing has to stay between you and me,"
"Okay!" Mabel says. "And Dipper, right!?"
"What? No!" Gray yells. "I mean, well no, he can't know either,"
"And why not?" Mabel asks, suspiciously.
"Because...the thing is, there's this tribe of light warriors who are rising up. They used to have constant wars with our parents. I'm afraid they'll take it out on us now," she sighs. "I...I just wanted...I just thought maybe...a true friend, like you, could help me out, since my sisters are too busy to listen,"
"Whaaa?" Mabel gasps. "This is deeper than caffeine spells after all!"
"I saw some of them in the forest one day, spying on us!" Gray growls. "Here's the thing...they're always listening and watching. They'll pick the people you are closest to, the people who get involved, and they pick on them as soon as they see a threat,"
Mabel gulps, thinking of Dipper.
"Right..." she sighs. "Yikes!"
"Sorry to be a bummer," Gray sighs, tears welling up in her eyes. "I'm just scared and don't know what to do. Now my first sleepover with my only friend is ruined,"
"Hey, no it's not!" Mabel says, patting her shoulder. "I'd do the same thing if I were you. And who said the night was ruined!?"
Mabel switches on her CD player, and smiles. Gray smiles back.(Note: Thanks so much for reading!!! ^_−☆ It's startin' to get hot up in here!! What's going to go down? Which story being told is real?
