Mabel transports back into their room. She sighs and lays Dipper down onto his bed.
"Heal up soon, bro," she sniffs. She looks outside; the sun is just starting to rise.
She collapses onto her bed and rests...but can't fall asleep after the things she's seen today.

Mabel wakes up a few hours later in the morning with a yawn.
Apparently I fell asleep at some point. Mabel thinks.
"Ungh," Dipper mumbles, sitting up.
Mabel jumps, and looks at him.
"Morning, Mabel," Dipper grumbles, stretching. "I...have a huge headache,"
"Yeah, I can see why. But it's all okay now," Mabel sighs, yawning.
"What do you mean--" Dipper starts.
"Kids, breakfast time! Now!" Stan yells.
"Let's go," Mabel says.
Dipper gets up and stretches again.
"Ouch!" Dipper spats. "Jeez, my body is stiff! Grunkle Stan is working me all the time nowadays,"
Dipper clumsily runs his side into the wall and falls over.
Instinctively, Mabel catches him. Once she steadies him, she jumps back, remembering the dark welts.
"Thanks, Mabel," Dipper says. "I'm apparently not awake yet!"
Huh? Mabel thinks. Sweet! Maybe fulfilling the prophecy made it to where Dipper and I can hang out like normal again!
First, Mabel pokes Dipper. He laughs.
"Ooh, careful! I might run into a wall again," Dipper says.
"No dark welts!" Mabel squeals.
"No what now!?" Dipper says, as Mabel hugs him suddenly.
"Uh, yeah, love you too!" Dipper says, patting Mabel on the back.
"Glad to see you guys made up! That was so freakin' awkward!" Stan says. "I made...Stancakes! You see? You see what I did there? It only took me approximately 5 hours to come up with that!"
"Made up...?" Dipper asks. He turns to Mabel. "Did I say something accidentally offensive to you in the past week or something?"
"Oh no, you're fine! Stan's just talking about...y'know...the whole distancing thing that just happened," Mabel whispers.
Before Dipper can reply, Wendy walks into the room.
"Yo, guys! I smelled pancakes, so I came early!" Wendy winks, taking a stack.
"3 dollars each, sucker!" Stan laughs.
Dipper stares at her and blushes.
"Ooh, somebody has crush-itis especially hard this morning!" Mabel whispers to Dipper, winking.
"Haha, yeah right, Mabel! I totally 100% do not have a crush on her, at all ever! Heheh," Dipper laughs nervously, his voice cracking.
"Uh, doi, I already know, doofus! There's no denying it now!" Mabel says. "You've admitted it to me!"
"Huh...? No I--" Dipper starts, when Waddles rushes in.
"Waddles!" Mabel shrieks. "I'm so sorry I missed our radio time! I'm sure our fans missed us...and I missed you!"
Waddles oinks and snuggles up against Mabel.
"Since when did you get a pig?" Dipper points out casually. Mabel's eyes widen, and she slowly turns to stare at Dipper in astonishment.
"I'm sure you could pick up anything anywhere," Dipper continues, grinning, and taking a pancake.
"U-Uh...I..." Mabel chokes out.
Then Gray's words come back to her all at once.
So now Dipper has it! Don't worry, he's still alive, he's not gonna die! It's mainly internal anyway!
Mabel pauses to think.
Mainly internal...gasp! Memory loss!? Mabel realizes.
"Uh, Dipper, can I see the back of your head?" Mabel asks.
"Um, why on earth would you want to--?" Dipper starts.
Mabel comes up behind him and takes off his hat.
"Just fixing a spot of hair sticking up!" Mabel lies. The gash was huge. It's all patched up now, but Mabel can't imagine how hard the impact was and how deep into his head it got.
She puts his hat back on him.
"Alright, this is gonna be difficult!" Mabel thinks aloud in distress.
"Is my hair seriously that bad?" Dipper asks.
"Yep!" Mabel covers up, fake smiling.
Oh, Dipping sauce...Now I've gotta find out just how far back your memory got erased. Mabel thinks sadly.
"Alright, Mabel!" Dipper says, shoving a bite of pancake in his mouth. He looks to make sure Stan is busy doing something else before continuing. "We've got a lot of discovering to do! In the mere 2 or 3 weeks we've been here, we've discovered gnomes, wax men that were alive, that Gideon is annoying...think of how much more we could find if we tried!"
"Uh, haha, yeah! Totally!" Mabel says, rubbing the back of her neck.
Two or three weeks...gnomes and wax men...doesn't think I know about his crush on Wendy...knows Gideon...so this is probably sometime after our first quarrel with Gideon! Mabel thinks. Whoa...that's way back!
Mabel glances at Dipper who is studying the journal.
Great, that put his progress way back, too! Now he's gonna spend all his time in his journal again!
"I'll be right back...I have...um...ice cream to steal or something!" Mabel yells, running out.
"Steal some for me!" Stan yells after her.
Mabel runs all the way to the hospital, and finally arrives at the front desk, gasping for breath.
"Do you have an appointment?" the lady says, not glancing up from her computer.
"No, but it's an emergency!" Mabel says, throwing her hands up.
"Emergency? What's wrong?" the lady says.
"My brother has memory loss, and I don't know what to do!" Mabel says.
"Is he injured? Does he need stitching or further inspection?" the lady asks.
"Well, no, he's kinda already been treated. I just need some advice!" Mabel sighs.
"Sorry, we don't give advice and pep talks to everyone who--" the lady starts.
"Excuse me," a doctor says, stepping in. "Did I hear someone needs advice on how to deal with memory loss in a sibling?" he asks. "That could be vital in keeping him healthy,"
The doctor glares at the lady, who rolls her eyes at him.
"Yes! Should I spill the beans and tell him everything to get him caught up?" Mabel asks.
"It depends," the doctor starts. "How much memory did he lose?"
"A lot," Mabel sighs. "Almost the whole summer!"
"Oh my, I see," the doctor says. "In that case, try not to tell him anything significant he may have forgotten; let him remember them himself over time. If you do, how did you put it, spill the beans too quickly, he could freak out; his mind may not be able to handle it,"
"That sounds not so lovely," Mabel says nervously.
"It's not. But just remember...one accidentally spoiled memory leads to another and then another, and he could have an overload. So be careful!" the doctor continues. "And please, don't hesitate to bring him here if he's hurt,"
"Thanks, doc," Mabel sighs. She walks out.
"I can do this, I just have to pretend I'm back to living in the first couple weeks of the summer!" Mabel says to herself. "And totally ignore what just happened! And Soos's new girlfriend, and how Dipper finally got into the cool group with Wendy..."
Mabel slaps her hand over her mouth.
"Ugh...this is gonna be way harder than I thought!"
