"So what should we do?" Kellin asked, slinging his now unbroken arm around my shoulder.

It was now mid June, and I had been applying for colleges non stop. I was so stressed out, wanting to be accepted to a good college.

"I think I should apply some more," I answered, making him frown as I stared at the papers in front of me.

He unwrapped his arm from around me and began massaging my shoulder. I let out a soft moan of appreciation.

"How about I give you a massage and then we go swimming?  All of this stress isn’t good for you, Vic."

I sighed, knowing he was right. “A massage does sound really good right now,” I admitted. He smiled, pecking my cheek.

"Lie on your stomach in your bed."

I did as he said. I hadn’t noticed how tense I was till that moment.

He lifted my shirt, grabbing some lotion. I couldn’t control the moan that escaped my mouth as he began running his hands along my tense back muscles.

"Feel nice?" he questioned teasingly. All I could do was let out another groan.

He continued going until I was limp, as relaxed as I’ve ever been in my life. “Ready to swim?” he asked and I could hear the teasing lilt in his voice.

"No,’ I groaned. "I just want to melt into the bed and sleep. Your hands are magic, god dammit."

"I know," he answered cockily, making me chuckle.

"Jerk."

He laughed, sitting on my butt and burying his face in my neck as his arms wrapped around my waist.

"Come on."

"No."

"I’ll get you off in the water."

"What?" I gasped.

"Come on. It’ll be fun."

"…alright. You’ve convinced me. Let’s go fucking swimming, you little kid.

An hour later we were at the lake that was near our house. It was secluded, so not a lot of people besides our family was here.

"I really don’t want to take my shirt off," I said, staring at Kellin reluctantly.

"Come on. I wanna see those big muscles of yours," he murmured, biting my neck to convince me.

"Kellin," I hissed when I noticed my dad looking over. "Quit it."

"You’re touchy today," he complained, pouting as he pulled back.

"I really don’t want them to see my scars," I whispered.

My parents knew that I used to cut. Yes, used to. I was six weeks clean, and going strong. But I hated having them see the scars, hated seeing the sadness in their faces.

"Come on, Vic," Kellin whispered back. he stroked my cheek, making me look up at him. "They’re a part of you. They realize that too. Just…come on. You can do it."

I stared into his eyes, wanting to cry. Finally, I sighed and slipped my shirt off.

"There’s what I wanted to see," he growled, leaning down and biting my collarbone roughly. "Get in the water so I can get you off already."

I smirked, taking his hand in mine and leading him into the water.

This was going to be fun.

~~~~~~
I was breathing heavily as we swam back to shore, where my family was sitting. “You’re so fucking attractive, my god Vic,” Kellin murmured.
"Finally! Vic! Let’s go have a water fight!" Mike said excitedly. He cast a reluctant glance at Kellin. "You can join if you want, Kellin."
Mike was still iffy with him, but at least they were on speaking terms.
"Nah, I think I’ll sit with the parentals," Kellin answered.
"Come on, Vic," Mike said excitedly. He seemed so happy to be spending some time with me, and I think Kellin picked up on that. I sent him a smile as I swam with Mike to the middle of the ocean.
Kellin POV
"You make Vic so happy," Mama Fuentes sighed. "You don’t know how much I love you for that."
"I think I do," I answered, smiling fondly at the two brother rough housing in the water.
"We couldn’t thank you enough, Kellin," his dad answered.
"Mr. Fuentes?" I asked hesitantly.
"Yeah, mijo?"
"Would it be okay if I called you Dad? And Mrs. Fuentes Mama Fuentes like the boys do?"
"Of course," he said softly. I smiled, thankful that he didn’t shoot me down.
"You don’t even have to ask," Mama Fuentes said gently. "Just call us what you’d like."
"Thank you," I whispered, tears stinging my eyes. I still missed my dad so much it hurt, but knowing that I had another in Papa Fuentes meant a lot to me.
They accepted me in a way my parents never did.
