The youngest child in any family is always a jokemaker, because a joke is the only way he can enter into an adult conversation. - Kurt Vonnegut, A Man Without a Country

"Yo I'm so tired." Penelope yawns.
"Bitch I know you tired, your whole wig slid off in your sleep." We both laugh as I drop my head down on my pillow. We went out last night again. That's all we been doing honestly since break started. It's been party after party for the last two weeks.
"Chile, I was sleeping so good. Bout as good as my boo puts me to sleep." She sighs, turning over. I laugh, rolling my eyes.
"You and that nigga. I swear." I laugh.
"You need to stop playing and give Jahad some." She says, throwing the covers back. I sit up into a sigh, watching her walk off to the bathroom, throwing myself back on the mattress. Jahad and I have been dating for a year, and no we haven't had sex. Honestly because I'm still a virgin and I'm not ready for that just yet. Jahad is being patient with me, but I know he'll break up with me if I hold out any longer. But I truly think he isn't the one for me. At least not to give my heart to.
"It's complicated." I mumble, playing with ends of my hair.
"Bitch, you're 21. What chu gone wait till marriage?" Penelope laughs.
"Just because you fucked at seventeen doesn't mean I have to as well. They're are far more important things in life than sex. Like me finding a job and my school work."
"I'm not saying there isn't anything far more important then sex. I'm just saying you'd be more happy, if you got some. You're always so uptight, like damn loosen up." She shimmies. I flag her off, throwing the covers over my head in a huff. Talking to Penelope is like talking to a brick wall, but she's my cousin. I can't change that. We're only a year apart but I swear we act the same age. We've been close ever since we were kids, since we're the youngest in the family. Everyone else is 23 and up.
"Are you taking me home?"
"Gas money?" I question.
"Um no! You picked me up remember? I told you I would drive my self over here, and we could of left to the party in your car. But nooooooo! You wanted to drive." She drags, flopping down on my bed. I sigh heavily, getting up out my bed putting some shorts on.
I leave out my room, to the hall. I make my way up to the third floor where my parents are. I knock on the door, waiting patient for someone to answer.
