A busy, vibrant, goal-oriented woman is so much more attractive than a woman who waits around for a man to validate her existence. -Mandy Hale, The Single Woman: Life, Love, and a Dash of Sass

India...

"India can you get the door!" Imani yells from afar

"India can you get the door!" Imani yells from afar. I smack my lips, mumbling words inaudible to hearing while rising from the couch.

"India, get the door." I mimic in a whiny tone, scoffing after. Kane shakes his head and laughs, licking his lips. Always laughing at me like I'm some type of joke. I reach for the knob, opening the door for Imani's date, Derwin. They're going out tonight with the rest of the family. It's couples night and I'm single as a dollar as always.

As usual, I'll be home by myself with some guards of course. Usually Imani, Imer, Zues and Yoko are home with me, but they're all in relationships now so that's out.

"Hey Derwin." I greet, turning on my heel.

"Hey, India. You not joining us?" I guess he could sense that I'm not decked out in heels and a dress.

"Nope. I'm staying in tonight." I sigh. I sit on the couch watching everyone walk around and converse. The bell rung again and I groaned because I knew I had to get it. Nobody else was going too.

"I got it." Kane chuckles.

"You was suppose to get the door in first place." I mumble under my breath, even though he is off tonight. He opens the door revealing Yoko, Zeus, PopPop and MomMom Sidney. I smile at how dressed up everyone is. It makes me really wish I was in a relationship and that I could enjoy adult time with family. I'm so busy with work, and guys are barely on my mind. Even during the school season, I'm the same way.

"Aww Yoko!" I whine with pouted lips and open arms. I could really cry for her yo. She looks so pretty in her dress like she's going on prom all over again.

"Isn't it pretty

"Isn't it pretty. Bae bought it for me." She coos looking down at herself.

"Yessssss baby moms, giving a hopeless bitch like me life and shit." We both chuckle.
