Reputation is what others think of us; character is what God knows of us. When you have spent what feels like eternity trying to repair a few moments of time that destroyed the view others once had of you then you must ask yourself if you have the problem or is it really them? God doesn't make us try so hard, only enemies do. -Shannon L. Alder

"Couch Grier! How does it feel to have your star quarterback, Derwin RockMoore, back in San Fransisco?" A reporter questions. I smile just hearing Derwin's name. Today was his first game of the fall season, and bae was showing off tonight. I could tell by the way he was playing, that he was happy to back in Cali. He scored a couple touchdowns himself. His mother and I were in the sky box, cheering for days. And now because of the 49ners big win tonight, they're having a press conference.
"Oh I'll be glad when my baby comes out. I'm tired of seeing all these other players." Mrs. RockMoore grumbles, rolling her eyes. I laugh, standing just to see if I see him anywhere. He's most likely still off in the back changing and getting ready.
Ms. RockMoore and I are sitting all the way in the back, behind the reporters. I don't wanna be spotted and Ms. RockMoore understood. She had to sit down herself because she has heart failure. It's to the point where she's on oxygen tubes, she has the tubes up her nasal canals.
"Why don't we ask Derwin himself." Couch Grier laughs, rising from his seat. The reporters begin to call Derwin's name, shoving recorders and cameras in his face. He's really the star of the night, yet so disrespectful. He's suppose to be dressed formal, but he has in sweats, a t-shirt and a 49ners ball cap. Still sexy though.
"Ok people one at a time please." Derwin smiles, chewing on gum. He says it calms his nerves. Even though he's had interviews for some time, he says he still get nervous. I swear it's cutest.
"Derwin over here! The big question of the night is how do you feel about being back in California?" A reporter questions.
"Well as y'all know, I grew up here. So this is where my heart is. It's feels wonderful to be back home with friends and family." He smiles.
"Derwin we at Sports Mag would love to know, how did you prepare for this game against the Broncos?" Another reporter questions.
"Practice of course, dedication. I don't think there's really much to answer to that question." We all laugh.
"Hell I knew the answer to that question. Dumb ass." Ms. RockMoore scoffs. I snicker, covering my mouth. That really was a dumb question.
"Derwin you play the Cleveland Browns in two weeks, they were undefeated last season do you think you guys stand a chance against them this season?" A reporter questions. Derwin nods and laughs.
"Not to be cocky, or gloat or anything but who got them where they are now? Nah, but I heard they have a game plan set. I'm just anxious to play them on the field, I have a lot people that disregard me because I left but it's all good." Derwin shrugs.
"Derwin we all wanna know if there's a lucky someone in your life?" A women reporter flirts. I raise a brow and scoff, the bitch probably not even a reporter.
"These little hussies just keep getting bolder and bolder." Ms. RockMoore shames, and shakes her her head. I nod in agreement, rolling my eyes to Derwin who just stares at me. He then smiles, which causes me to look down in bashfulness. That warm feeling I really only get from him.
"I believe we're only here to talk about the game, and future plays so let's keep it that. But to answer your question, I'm taken yea." After a few more questions, the interview was finally over. Ms. RockMoore and I wait outside for him in the parking lot. Derwin gave me the keys to his truck so his mom would have somewhere to sit when we left out.
