Another Dinner

Chapter 7: Another Dinner

Chrystal and I went up to my room. We got in and I closed the door and sat on the bed. Chrystal took off her cap and gown and grabbed a hanger and hung it up. Her dress was really cute on her and hugged her in the right places.

She looked at me and smiled, "What?" She asked me.

"Nothing you look beautiful." I told her and she said thank you.

I nodded and she took off her heels, making her her real height again. She sat beside me and grabbed her phone.

I scooted back on the bed and laid down. I was really tired especially having to get up early to get ready for Chryssy's graduation. Anyways, Chrystal put her phone down and laid down putting her head on my chest. She traced circles on me and I wrapped my arm around her.

I heard my phone ring and I sat up and grabbed it. It was my mom calling I guess they were ready to go to dinner. I answered the phone and moved my hair out my face.

"Yes mommy?" I said.

"Hey hun. We're here to go to dinner. How does TGI Fridays sound?" My mom asked me.

"Sounds good. We'll be down in a bit." I told her.

"Alright. We'll wait in the lobby." She said and I said ok.

I hung up and put my phone down. I turned to Lucas who was sleep. I rubbed his cheek and ran my fingers through his hair.

"Wake up babe." I said and kissed his cheek.

He groaned and blinked his eyes open. "Mommy called me. They're here to pick us up." I told him and he nodded.

He ran his hands down his face and sat up. I got up and walked to the bathroom. Lucas followed behind me and grabbed a wash cloth. He washed his face and grabbed a tooth brush. He had an extra and handed it to me. We started brushing our teeth and I looked at him in the mirror and he looked at me.

Once I was done with that, I fixed my hair back into place and walked out. I sat on the bed and grabbed one of my heels. I put it on and Lucas bent down and snapped it for me. I put the other one on and he did the same snapping it and he helped me up.

He grabbed his phone and I grabbed mine. We walked downstairs and saw my parents. We all walked to the car and got in.

"Strawberry lemonade please." I told the waiter.

The waiter walked away and we made small talk.

"I'm so proud of my babies. Yall have grown up so much." My mom said and Lucas laughed.

"Thank you momma. You too papa." Lucas said. I thought it was cute how we called each other's parents that. I called Lucas mom momma and his dad papa. Same with Lucas to my parents.

"So, the future. What we got going on? You know we support you both in everything you do." My dad said and I looked Lucas.

"Well we're all going back to Atlanta. I moved there to be closer to Chrys but also to find a job." Lucas said. "I don't know settle down too I guess."

"Ooohh... with my daughter right?" My mom asked and he looked at me.

"Mommy.. please." I said and she smiled.

"We already had this conversation with momma and papa." I told my parents.

"Well we want to have this conversation with you too. So I need answers and I want grandkids." She said.

I groaned and I heard Lucas laugh. "You do know what we have to do to give you the grandkids you want right?" Lucas asked mommy.

"Yes, and that is exactly why you all need to get together." She said and my dad just looked at us not saying anything.

I knew he agreed with the whole thing too. I don't see a problem with being with Lucas that way but I want to happen on its own or one of us makes a move. Not having our parents play match maker.
