Date Night

Chapter 24: Date Night

I was at my parents house visiting. I do always have to check up on them from time to time. I was in the kitchen with my mom while my dad was in the living room watching tv. My mom was making dinner for the two of them. I would eat but Lucas and I are going on a date tonight.

"TOUCHDOWN!!" My father yelled, throwing his arms up.

"Tyrrell hush up. Nobody want their eardrums blown out by you." My mom said to my dad.

He laughed, "Yeah yeah." He said.

"Don't 'yeah, yeah' me." She said.

"Yeah, yeah." My dad said again and I laughed.

"Whatever." My mom said turning towards me. "He's such a pain."

I just shrugged and made a face. "You married him mommy. Not my problem." I told her.

"Speaking of marriage...." She started.

"Mommy.... no. We are not thinking about that no time soon. We still have plans." I told her.

"Of course child. I was only kidding. Me and Celeste are always making jokes about yall." Momma said.

"Got that right. Like let the children breathe." My father said.

"Father you can't talk. You and Papa agree with stuff mommy says." I told my dad.

He laughed. "No we don't. Now hush my team winning." He said.

I started yelling and making a lot of noise. My mom laughed at me as my father side eyed me. I laughed and shook my head.

"Lord what are we going to do with her?" My dad asked looking up at the ceiling.

I looked at my phone and seen it was 7:30 so I got up. "Ok parents. I've been here most of the day and now it's time to leave. Don't be doing things you not supposed to." I said pointing to them both as I walked to the door.

"Girl we grown." My mom said.

I got disgusted when that was said. "Eww ok. I'm leaving. Ew." I said opening the door.

"No hugs or kisses?" My dad asked.

I looked at them, made a face and left saying bye. I love them but ew.

"Baby girl!!! Come on now." Lucas yelled from downstairs.

"Ok ok." I said walking down the stairs. "You can't rush perfection."

"I'm sorry baby. You do look gorgeous." Lucas said and smiled as he grabbed my hand. 

"Thank you love. You don't look bad yourself." I said and gave him kiss.

"Alright now let's go before we miss our reservation." He said and we walked out the door.

"How may I help you two tonight?" The waiter asked.

"Um can I get the chicken fettuccine alfredo and a  sweet tea." Chrystal asked.

"Sure and for you?" The waiter asked me.

"The parmesean chicken." I said. "With a side of broccoli sir?" The waiter asked. "Yeah and an Arnold Palmer(A/N: sweet tea and lemonade).

"Alright, I'll be back with your food and drinks." The waiter said and took our menus.

I looked at Chrystal who was smiling at me. After a few minutes she covered her face from me. I reached across and grabbed her hands.

"Stop doing that. You too beautiful." I told her.

"Thank you." She said blushing.

"When you get your braces off?" I asked her.

"In a few days. I'm so happy. I've had them since forever." She said smiling, showing her braces off.

"I know baby girl. I defended you against that boy." I told her.

"Yeah then in 2nd grade he tried to be my friend because I glo'd up a bit." She said rolling her eyes.

I laughed at her and shook my head. We were talking about all the fun times we had together growing up with each other. Who knew we would end up here?

"Yeah and we had to go back home cause yo ass is clumsy." I said laughing.

"That's not fair. We were running to fast and I scraped my knee. That hurt." She said.

"We weren't even running that fast now." I said and she sucked her teeth.

"Whatever. That day was not fun." She said and crossed her arms.

"Ok. Here's your food. Enjoy." The waiter said placing everything on the table.

We thanked her and she walked away. We said our prayer and started eating. I always heard that the food here was good and they weren't wrong.

"Ooh this is good." Chrys said and I agreed.

Once we left, we went to the store and got a bunch of junk food and candy. We paid and went to house. I can't wait until we move in together.

Once we got in the door, Chrys took her heels off shrinking to her normal 5'5 height. We both walked upstairs to change out of our clothes. I put on some sweats and left my shirt off and Chrystal put on a tank top and short shorts.

"I'm so tired." Chrystal said, laying on the couch. I laid on top of her, wrapping my arms around her and laid my head on her stomach.

"Oh yeah. How's mommy and papa?" I asked her remembering she went to see them today.

"They are good as usual. That made me disgusted when I was leaving though." She said and cringed.

"I understand. Our parents have no filters." I told her shaking my head looking at the tv.

"I know. Then momma started talking about marriage. I was like we still have things to do." She said trying to look for a movie.

I chuckled, "We really do. I'm cool with that later on but not now." I said and grabbed the pack of sour patch kids.

"Ooo give me a blue one." She said opening her mouth. I fed it to her and she smiled, chewing.

"Such a kid man." I said shaking my head.

"Yeah but you love this kid." She said.

"I sure do." I smiled. "I love you too." She said and kissed me.

My baby girl.

Ok ok. Pleeeaaasseee... don't be upset with me. I know it's been a really long while since I updated. No the spoiled chapter is not the end. I really have been busy. Even writers have a life you guys. But thank you for the comments, yall are funny. And thank you for the votes and everything. I have not abandoned my books, just things going on.

But I made this really long so you all can enjoy. Another is one coming real soon. I also noticed that I never gave their parents names. So Chrystal's dad's name is Tyrrell, Lucas' mom's name is Celeste. I still have to figure out a name for Chrystal's mom and Lucas' dad.
