Time had suddenly vanished, I had become lost in thoughts, filled with despair and hopelessness, I stared blankly at the ground. I thought to myself and wondered what I was supposed to do at this point. I kept on falling and falling and soon even lost my balance as I spun around with no control over what position my body was at.
After a while, I was finally able to control my position and had myself positioned as if I was laying on my belly. My belly was pointed towards the ground. The trunk of the space elevator suddenly shifted and twisted, it's core inside being opened up. The tower was beginning to separate into six different pillars. I could see a spacecraft approaching the opening to the inside of the trunk as some figures with space suits were trying to repair something inside.
The problem lied in the spacecraft's position, it was right beneath me, blocking my fall to the ground. I'm about to fall onto the hood of the spacecraft and I was worried like hell. This was not good, if I wasn't able to do something quickly, I'd be doomed.
Just imagining myself hitting the hood of the spacecraft frustrated me, slowly my feeling of despair was gone as I only sought for a way to survive. I want to survive, I thought to myself. I'm not going to down like this, not in a pathetic way like this!
I had to hear myself say it, and so I did, "fuck this shit, I will survive!"
The moment I said these words, flashes of images and information appeared in my mind. It was a familiar feeling, the power of Knowing was kicking in. I was learning things I didn't know before. These images and information were particularly about skydiving and how to control your formation during a fall.
New flashes of images appeared, different from the last. Showing images of a figure using electricity and chains together like a combination.
When I came to, I was nearing the hood of the spacecraft, I had to act quickly. My first thought was to avoid it by going through the entrance to the trunk of the tower. The entrance was on my left. My breathing slowed down, my body felt like it could be off balance at any moment, my eyes were locked on to the hood. I gritted my teeth as I felt the electromagnetic energy flowing through my body.
Small shocks of electricity discharged from arms and legs as I twirled left; I began to spin in a counterclockwise motion. Nearing the inside of the tower, all that remained was the nose of the spacecraft. I felt the intensity in my body as I tried to enter the trunk, avoiding to crash land on the nose. The discharge of electricity became stronger as I was able to spin faster and faster. I was close to avoiding the hood, in a brief moment, I saw myself nearly touching the front nose of the spacecraft before continuing downward in the inside of the GTT.
I let out heavy breaths of relief as I continued down the core of the tower. Having my body form into a diving pose so that I could gain more speed on my fall. Mechanical stairs and doors were built upon the walls of the pillars. However, they were closed off so that no one would fall out when the pillars would separate. It was like a long tunnel that didn't seem to have an end.
The elevator was on the outside while all the magic of the machinery comes from the inside. So all I could see from this were a bunch of cogs, electromagnetic technology, and hundreds upon hundreds of wires all spread across the inside of the tower.
I was fully concentrated on trying to survive that I had forgotten that I was still in a race against Shiro. I didn't necessarily want to race her but I had to get out of this situation somehow and the only to do that was to play her game. If that's what she wanted then that's what she'll get.
Focusing on finding an opening, I pose myself laying on my belly with my arm and legs stretched out, slowing down my fall. As I tried to find an open space for me to exit out of, I looked back down to see some metal pipes below me that were connected by two pillars. I instantly rolled right to avoid getting hit by one but before I could let my guard down, my eyes caught another pipe below me. As I rolled left, I began to realize that more and more pipes, as well as other mechanisms, were trying to block my fall. I couldn't simply hover over to the exit, I had to somehow speed through it without getting hurt.
