Arachnids and some other Colorless beasts began to surround the three CoDas. From the streets, up in the building rooftops, crawling out of the forest. All began to observe and threaten the unfortunate souls.
Zack frantically looked around, carrying me unconscious behind his back.
"What do we do, Emily? Should we call for backup?" Zack whispered to Emily, keeping his eye on the foes ahead of them.
Emily observed the arachnid Colorless crawling and watching them back. The Colorless are patient and waiting for their prey to make their move.
Emily tightened her fist, her face, glowering and black. Her eyes fixated on the pack of creatures heading towards her.
She exhaled in frustration, "the reinforcements will take too long, we're gonna have to fight our way through the city. If we reach the safe zone, they won't follow us, but... It's quite far away, about 25 minutes away from here by walking. If we were to travel using our Xorlaz, it might take about 10 minutes."
"So... What's the plan?" Zack asks again.
"I'm thinking about it, give me a minute."
"A minute is too long, they'll freaking send us to Grovar by then," Zack said in desperate need for hope.
"Yeah, yeah, shut up," she replied in frustration and panic.
Emily scanned around her for a pathway toward their goal, there was no way out. With the trail to the hills behind them and only trees surrounding their area, the only way to go to their objective was in front of them. The city was like a labyrinth with high building walls and multiple street paths; this was only the entrance.
There was a change in the color of the sky as Emily tilted up, the bright shining red of the sun was taking over the clouds, painting the buildings and streets in orange, the sun has begun to set.
Emily's light bulb lit up as she smirked. She panned her head towards Zack, who was curious as to what she was planning, shouting, "Zack, Head upwards, now!"
Emily took a few steps forward and gestured her hands together like she was creating a frame, focusing onto a few of the Colorless up in the building rooftops. Puffing out some air, she mumbled, "sahaayata."
Her eyes slowly shift from lush green to dark purple, her vision turned from normal to a violet filter as her mind entered the beasts that she framed around her fingers. Mixtures of colors were seen as she altered the minds of the Colorless before entering back to her normal state. The chosen arachnids began to screech as their appearances changed and shifted, a murky and menacing presence turned into a more friendlier one.
Their exoskeletons less rigid and more smooth and glossy. Their body colors also changed from simple black and white to multiple color combos like red and green, purple and yellow, orange and blue. The other Colorless took notice of this and began to threaten against the now Pure Colorless. They started attacking one another, gnawing and slashing against each other.
