Just like last time on the Lore and Lesson chapter, I want to experiment once more with music while you read this chapter. You are free to not use music but if you are willing to do so then please go right ahead. Be sure to use headphone and keep the music at a steady volume where it won't distract you from your reading. Also, read it with a steady pace as to sync with the music you are listening to.

For those on mobile phones, search for "Kammerheit - The Ruins and the Serene" on any app (Spotify recommended) and play it in the background.

Enjoy the chapter and I hope the music enhances the experience for you!

The Distant Storm Arc: Exposure

The clock ticked around 5 PM in this cold-ridden weather, in the midst of the crowd walked a young boy. A boy who was nothing more than a cover-up for his true self in the afterworld, the Color Lens. He never mattered, only his true version did. He was a nobody while the true version was a somebody. False Zack Kovlocke was a nothing and when people turn a blind eye to a person in isolation, that will be their greatest regret.

To Zack, Nathan was the only one who showed him attention when others didn't pay attention. But now even Nathan has been taken away from someone else and Zack feels the emptiness in his heart and butterflies in his stomach. He was just small, irrelevant snowflake among the millions of snowflakes around him, solely there to pile up into the snow.

Zack walked through the crowd but no one looked at him, no one even glanced at him. Like a reptile, he was cold-blooded, no one could feel his warmth, no one could feel his presence. Zack walked along the crowd, a bitter taste in his mouth as he knew it all but yet he didn't understand why he felt this way. Zack felt that a part of his memory was missing, out of place, he could not put his finger on what it was.

Zack stopped in his tracks, what was that voice? It had a sense of beauty for a masculine voice yet there was also a slightly distorted sound behind the voice. Zack felt an enormous presence behind him but he didn't look back, he simply stared down. The presence and the slightly disturbing voice caused Zacks conscious to scream of danger but he continued to listen.
