I plunged into the deep blue water and rose back to the top. I swam over to the edge to climb out. The others threw their bags at me then did the same. They jumped. But one person, Kay jumped off a little to far and hit her head on the rocks. 49 of us left, well actually 10 people woke up late and got mauled by mountain lions and well... got killed. So 39 of us left. The rest of us made a raft with sticks we found in the woods. The current was getting stronger and we knew that if we swam we would drown. It was getting dark when we put the rafts on the water. I climbed on and made sure everyone was on all of them. We were having fun and laughing and eating dinner when we heard a noise, we got quiet. The water got stronger and the wind was blowing. "What was that?" Beth said in a shaky voice. Then a huge beast leaped out of the water. We all screamed at the top of our lungs. We were paddling as fast as we could. The beast pushed our rafts and 3 fell off, including Beth. 36 of us left. It bit some of the rafts so 3 others drowned. 33 of us left. The beast lunged towards us and ate 2 people, one person had no leg, the other no arm. 31 of us left. The beast went back under water and the storm settled down. We went on ground to help the people who were injured. Lyla gasping, "Monica there's something in your arm!" In shock I answered, "What do you mean in?" There was a big tooth in my arm from the beast. I struggled taking it out but I did. I wrapped my bloody wound and kept the tooth as a souvenir.

The next morning I woke up finding 3 people savagely murdered. 26 of us left. I woke up the others and we had a moment of silence for those who were lost. After that we got up and went on our way. We made new rafts and went North. After a while the current got stronger and I was a bit worried. "Do you hear that?" Renessa said. I did, it was a waterfall. "PADDLE BACKWARDS!" I yelled. It didn't work. I then yelled, "BRACE YOURSELFS!!" We went down really fast. 2 people fell off. 24 of us left. Once we got closer to the still water we all jumped. We got to the rocks and climbed out. Thank goodness we were done with Muddy Wetness. We were at the end of that stage and we were on to the next. Heated Sand is where we were to go next. We stepped in to the new stage and started walking. It was a little windy and some sand got in my eyes but it was better than the rest. The journey through that stage was so easy, all we had to do is walk. It drained all of my water though. It was evening and all of a sudden something happened. A swarm of beetles came and spinned around in a circle in front of us. Then a huge beast formed out and the beetles went away. It roared. "AAARRRGGGGHHH!" We tried running but the wind was to strong. (Back at the city: the Council) "Ha! This is hilarious to watch." The head Council lady, Meryl, said. "I don't see how it's funny seeing children suffer and die." Veronica said. Meryl answered, "You don't understand! This is for love. When I was young, we would die finding love. But we would die emotionally, mentally. This is just physically, permanent." She silenced Veronica and went back to laughing at our pain. (Back at Heated Sand). It grabbed 1 person, 23 of us left. The wind got stronger and the beast couldn't take it and blew away. Everything settled down after. I was so thirsty for water but I had finished it all up. It started raining, "Ha ha! Thank you Council!" I yelled. But then the sand turned dark brown and started getting slippery and... sucky. It made quicksand everywhere. I whispered, "Oh nevermind." We were running as fast as we could so we couldn't get stuck. Lunessa was trying to grab water, so she wasn't paying much attention, and drowned in the quicksand. Marbecca was running to slow and when she took a break, she took it in quicksand and drowned. I got stuck and Lyla and Renessa pulled me out. Yoozy slipped in and we tried pulling her out put she was in deep. The monster came back and was right by us. She yelled, "Go without me!" "Never!" I answered. We pulled one last time and she slipped out of our hands. We ran as fast as we could and made it to the other stage, Forest Forage. 20 of us left.
