It was 5:25pm when Sebastian pulled into the hotel underground car park. He made his way up through the elevator that opened up into the foyer of the hotel. There he stood, clad in black denim jeans, a black tee shirt and white All Stars. He made his way to the couch at the far end of the room to wait for Isabel.
As he sat, he took notice of what was happening to him. Suddenly his hands were clammy and he couldn't stop his legs from jackhammering - much to the annoyance of the elderly couple next to him.
What's wrong with you man? Chill the fuck out it's not like you love her. It's just a date. You have dated before. He thought wildly to himself.
He was about to reach for his phone to notify Isabel that he was there when,
"Hey."
He heard a familiar voice from just behind him. His head shot up to face a pair of almond eyes staring straight back. It was her.
He stood for a moment taking in what was before him. She was standing close, close enough to smell her perfume of sweet fruits. He sucked in a breath as he looked at her slight figure, accentuated by her second skin jeans and tank top that showed off more skin than he was expecting. But he couldn't really complain. She was stunning. Her hair so long and glossy he had the urge to reach out and run his fingers through it. Her skin so inviting and intoxicating at the same time. Her eyes, so unfathomable he was afraid he'd drown if he kept looking. And her lips, painted a light brown and slightly parted as she smiled at him. He wanted more than ever to kiss her.
But then he remembered where he was, and the fact that he hadn't spoken in a few seconds. He blurted out,
"Hey! I was just about to text. It's good to see you." He stood awkwardly in front of her, not knowing if a kiss on the cheek was appropriate. So he was thankful when she closed the gap between them and planted a gentle peck on his cheek.
Do all women look this good in leather? He thought randomly.
Her kiss gave him new found confidence - Just go with it. She likes you. So be you.
"Shall we?" He asked, gesturing to the elevator.
"Definitely!" replied the brunette.
They walked to the elevator and just as the doors closed he whispered to her
"You look great by the way." with a side smile
He watched as she modestly looked down at her feet and then back at him from under her lashes.
"So do you." She replied.
