Let's get this straight: Are these people just afraid to try Dunkin Donuts or something?
Like, I get it, Starbucks is popular, and it's actually really good. But, when every single story uses Starbucks as their coffee shop of choice, it gets a little annoying.
I'm sure that Starbucks isn't the only coffee shop in the area. Heck, where I live, the nearest Starbucks is 20 miles away. I just get coffee from a small café in town.
And when the author decides to be different and make their main character get coffee from the McCafe at McDonalds, the comments be like:
zxynsbbygurl: eW y dIDn'T ShE gO 2 StArbUCx McDoNALds is naSTY eWW!!!!1!1!!11
harreezeerwax: this girl ain't know where the real coffee is at lol she need some starbucks.
But Starbucks is expensive, geez. I went there last week and paid almost $11 for a cake pop and a frappuccino. And it was my birthday that day. (my bday was the 15th, fyi)
And I would've got it for free but I lost my rewards card lmao
I have veered off topic completely my gosh. The point is, make it a goal to try and have the characters go somewhere different every once in a while. Sure, it's okay to go to Starbucks a couple times, but Starbucks isn't the only place around.
I'm watching the SpongeBob movie as I'm writing this. Yeet.
