Yeah, those are great, except it's not always the case.

In all honesty, happy endings are great. All readers want a happy ending. But, it can get boring when every single story has a happy fairytale ending.

Sometimes sad or unorthodox endings can be the best option. It creates emotion, confusion, and an open door for suspense.

Endings that create mystery and room for theories can really attract people to your book. For example, Meadow Lake by _DaniMoon_ has that kind of ending. I won't spoil it for anyone, just in case you haven't read. (But it is so good like go read it before I throw my chair)
