so i love the fact that wattpad allows you to select actors and actresses and create a cast for your story. i think it really adds to the imagination and you can see it in your head clearly.
but WHY does every author use the exact same actors/actresses for EVERYTHING.
more times than not, stories will include one of the following:
-lily collins (she's a great actress but she's used in like EVERY SINGLE STORY)
-emma stone (she's the go-to for any red-headed character)
-cara delevigne (used to portray the 'hipster skater girl' in every story)
-kendall jenner/gigi hadid (plays the mean girls)
i mean, these people are great but they are so overused. i believe that a great story has to have relatable characters. sure, people are skinny, but not everyone is.
sure, people are white, but not everyone is.
not all girls are thin with blonde hair and blue eyes and curves. not all boys have abs and sharp jawlines and white teeth and clear skin.
so, when you're writing a book, do some research and find some unique actors and actresses! don't just put the first person that comes to mind. it makes a story better.
(i am not saying that every story with lily collins or kendall jenner is a bad story. i'm just saying that they are used a lot.)
