My Political Discussions
Marlene
"We have to tell the Four Tribes Congress about this," Rico said after the Harvest Ball.
"Why?" I asked.
"Because everyone else will be attacked if we don't! This is more serious than you realize, Marlene. We could go to war because of this."
"I thought Amispires never go to war."
"No, but we'll give our general support to the Altimas or Aquidraki if they decide to."
"So we have to talk to the Four Tribes Congress so they can fight for us?" I asked.
"No!" Rico exclaimed. We continued arguing for a while. Eventually, we decided to talk to the Four Tribes Congress. Their meeting was being held in Purple Meadows, and Rico would have to attend anyways.
Several days later, Rico and I were at the Four Tribes Congress meeting. I saw politicians from all over, including Sparrow. There were representatives from all over the world. It was amazing to see so many dragons gathered in one place.
The first hour or two of the meeting was boring political stuff. Then, it was my turn to speak.
"Fellow dragons," I began. "Purple Meadows was attacked by humans a few days ago. Fourteen died in the attack and twenty were injured. Prince Rico and I were lucky to survive. The attack was started by two humans that belong to a group called the Blood Seekers. Their aim is only to murder us. The Amispires have chosen to stay neutral for now, but will give their full support should any other tribes choose to go to war. The question now is will we go to war with the Blood Seekers?"
"Absolutely, we're going to war!" shouted an Aquidraki representative. The others nodded in agreement.
The Altimas discussed for a while. Then one representative said, "We have unanimously chosen to go to war with the Aquidraki."
The Fangpyres said, "Let's go with the winning team here. We're with the Blood Seekers."
"Thank you," I said while walking into the Amispire section of the room. I was pretty concerned that the Fangpyres had chosen to protect themselves by siding with the enemy, but that was none of my business.
So it was Amispire, Aquidraki, and Altima vs. Fangpyre and the Blood Seekers now. What a horrible war this would be!
