As the sun came up the next morning the girl began to stir. After a moment of realization she shot up out of the strange but comfy bed no longer feeling relaxed. Looking around she noticed that this had to be a boy’s room, the colors being brown, grays, and blacks made it look mature. There was a sitting area type deal with couches on either side of a glass end table and the far side of the room had a marble table. The decor just screamed masculinity.
The girl couldn't remember anything happening last night. She had fallen asleep in her own bed listening to music, how did she get here?
The girl quietly got out of bed and tiptoed out of the bedroom. Following the hallway led her to what looked like a living room, and there was what looked to be a teenage boy with blonde hair asleep on the couch. Maybe she had awoken in his room?
As realization hit her heart began to beat crazily. Remembering the ride in the car here and all of the guys kidnapping her. Thoughts of what was going to happen to her and what her kidnapper would do helped push her out of her shock and she ran for the door. After fumbling with the lock because of her shaky hands she pulled the door open and took off running.
She hadn't gotten far when she was tackled to the ground by a very strong and very heavy weight hitting her from behind. Whoever had tackled her put a hand over her mouth and pulled her up with his free hand.
She tried kicking and screaming but to no avail. The guy was stronger than her. He dragged her into the house and towards the living room. The blonde haired boy put a padlock on the door so she couldn't get outside again.
If the boy from the couch was locking the door who had her? Were they going to hurt her for trying to escape? All of these questions danced through her mind as she tried to turn and get a look at the guy holding her.
She squirmed until she could get a good look at the guy behind her. He had brown hair and brown eyes. His body was lean but muscular considering he picked her up with one hand. It was the guy who had been in the driver’s seat.
“You’re not allowed to run anymore, got it?” the guy holding her had a very deep melodic voice but that didn't stop her from squirming and trying to kick him. His grip tightened and he told her to stop, warning evident in his voice.
A male voice from the kitchen announced that food was ready. “You hungry?” continuing to ignore the guy she began to squirm again.
“Here Cameron, you take her you’re the one who wants her.” the boy, Cameron, looked at his feet and blushed. He was the guy whom she had dropped the soda on. Once she was able to get a good look at his face now that it was daylight and she could actually see she recognized him and began to scream like her life depended on it. In her moment of panic she was able to catch the boy off guard and bit his hand drawing blood. While he was trying to stop the blood she bolted for the stairs. With no idea where she was going she only had one thing she was thinking about: Escape.
Rushing up the stairs and down a hallway she knew she was trapped. There is no way she could find a way out when these guys have been living here and know the area. She went for the next best thing, hiding.
Hearing the footsteps getting closer she ducked behind the closest door and locked the guys out. Leaning against the door she began to get her breath back, that is until there was banging on the other side of it.
“Ashlynn will you please come out? We can talk this out. I promise,” his voice sounded sincere but she wasn't going to fall for that, she watched so many horror movies she knows what will happen when she opens that door. He took her silence as a no.
“Please? I swear I’m not going to hurt you, I just want to talk. Will you at least eat something? I don't want you to get sick,” once again she remained silent. Cameron sat down and leaned up against the door. After a while he got bored and Ashlynn was oddly silent. He put his ear up to the door only to hear her deep breaths of sleep drifting through. Peeking under the door proved that she was indeed sitting on the other side of the door, leaned up like he had been earlier.
After sneaking downstairs and getting some food he sat outside the door listening to her. She talks in her sleep. Her sweet voice drifted through the door capturing Cameron’s attention. She talked about everything from wanting a little brother to writing music. Maybe she plays guitar, then Bryce could get her to come out. He had more than one guitar, he could surely let her use one.
Hours later Cameron had fallen asleep in the hallway. Every time Shayne or Bryce walked by they would laugh. They thought it was hilarious how much Cameron wanted to be with Ashlynn. They hadn't felt love before or anything remotely close so Cameron did his best to put it behind him and move on with life when they made jokes. He normally wasn't one to hold grudges, he liked to forgive and forget.
