Stealing Innocence

Ch. Six

October 19th, 2011

  When afternoon hit on the fourth day Ashlynn had avoided the guys, or at least they hadn't tried to seek her out. For her it felt nice to not have to watch her back all day. She may be going on her fourth day away from home but it’s not getting any easier.

 Heading downstairs to get something to munch on before going back to hibernating in her room she heard something surprising, a conversation between the guys. Stopping at the foot of the stairs she could hear everything perfectly, Bryce was explaining about how everything went when they were alone, “Well she likes chocolate chip cookies, I know because I got her to eat one, and she plays guitar. She was using mine, I don't mind though.”

“Did you get her to talk at all?” Cameron asked.

“Not really, she would shrug to answer but she doesn't seem like much of a talker anyways,”

“Why don't you go hang out with her Cameron? Maybe she will warm up to you if you hang out more,” Upon hearing Shayne’s suggestion Ashlynn began to creep back up the stairs, she took Bryce’s guitar and locked herself in Cameron’s room. Being so focused on the song she was playing she didn't notice Shayne unlocking the door with his key and sneaking in the room. She was sitting facing away from the door so he easily snuck over so he could sit on the couch and listen. Cameron didn't recognize the song but he definitely thought the melody was beautiful. So beautiful it lulled him into sleep on the couch.

When Ashlynn got done playing till her fingers hurt she got up to take Bryce’s guitar back and when she turned towards the door screamed noticing Cameron on the couch which ended up waking him up. “What's wrong Ashlynn?” Cameron exclaimed jumping off the couch. When he went to take a step towards her she instantly took a step back.

“Don't worry I’m not going to do anything, I’m not trying to scare you.” Ashlynn looked at him then the guitar, then the door. The door happened to be on the other side of Cameron.

“Uhm, Cameron, I need to take Bryce’s guitar back,” Cameron blushed and looked at his feet.

“Can I walk with you? Or maybe go get something to drink or a snack and we can hang out?” Ashlynn just shrugged and walked out of the room. When she got back to Cameron’s room she saw that he had popcorn and soda, “You want to watch a movie?” she shrugged and climbed onto the bed and leaned back on the pillow.

After putting on a movie he climbed onto the bed next to her. Her entire body tensed up but Cameron quickly promised that he wouldn't do anything. By the end of the movie Ashlynn had fallen asleep and slowly crept towards Cameron and was now curled up into a ball at his side, and that’s how they slept that night. Cuddled together looking like the cutest couple ever.
