Cameron woke up early in the morning, feeling the door move has a way of doing that, and the first thing he saw that morning was Ashlynn. Man did he wish she wasn't scared of him. He felt like a beast in a fairytale, when the beautiful princess is scared of the mean wolf on the outside and won't let him get close enough to see the prince charming on the inside.

You would think he would be like a normal teenager and just give up, there’s more fish in the sea, but he was different. Instead of seeing the bad, he saw the good. He basically had a picture in the back of his mind that kept him going, like it was their future. He could picture the day he proposes and their wedding. The smile on her face as she walks between the pews and he could see her in all her beauty with a baby bump being pregnant with his child. The baby would look like her, and be just as stubborn too. Seeing that everyday definitely helps restore hope when you need it most, when everything starts to go downhill.

Ashlynn noticed him on the floor and her eyes went wide. Her only reaction different from before was that this time she couldn't run, she was frozen with fear. He slowly got up from the ground as to not scare her more than she already was, and slowly walked up to her. Reaching his arms out him wrapped her in his embrace and held her for the first time.

“Ashlynn, breath you’re fine. I’m not going to hurt you. I promise,” he could feel her body begin to shake as her tears fell.

“Why are you crying? You’re fine I’m not hurting you just relax.” he took her hand and tugged her towards the staircase, “Come on let’s find you something to eat okay? Maybe it will make you feel better. Maybe take a shower?” she looked pale like she was about to get sick.

He led her to the table and sat her down and began to make pancakes, “What's wrong Ashlynn? You don't look well,”

“I want to go home,” though she mumbled he heard it clear as day and it felt like a knife to the heart.

“How about some breakfast and then we can discuss this?” all she did was repeat the fact that she wanted to go home.

“Can we maybe try to work things out? I can't send you back home,” she finally looked up and met his eyes.

“If you take me home I won't tell anyone, I can just say I stayed with a friend or something,” he didn't want to let her go, he loves her.

“But I want you to stay here, I like you,” her eyes widened a little bit.

“That’s not what I thought,” he had no clue what she was talking about. She must have read it in his expression, “You shot me remember? I still have a scar and all the damage from it to live with.”

“I never shot you, I love you.” she rolled her eyes.

“That’s what you said before and so did your brother and then you shot me!” Cameron was starting to remember it now, that summer that changed his life. He had tried to block it from his mind but the memories were flooding through his mind now with no end in sight.

Cameron and his brother decided to walk to the skate park, Cameron was 16 and his brother was 17 but they looked like twins the only difference being height. His brother was skating and so Cameron sat on the bench watching when a girl walked up and also began to skate, that girl was beautiful, breathtaking even, and she could skate with the best.

She fit in well with all of the skaters, and had absolutely no problem making friends. She was a very sweet girl but also shy with an aura of innocence that cast out so bright guys kind of saw her and treated her as a little sister they all cared about rather than the beautiful datable girl they hung out with constantly.
