Waking up she first noticed it was dark out and then that her parents were home. She could hear the voices downstairs. Someone else was here. Going down the stairs Ashlynn began to recognize the voice. There was a blond haired boy standing next to her mother with blue eyes Ashlynn could never forget.

“Hey Ashlynn will you tell your mom I’m your friend? She doesn't believe me,” he was giving Ashlynn those cute puppy dog eyes that made Ashlynn laugh every time she saw them. She turned to her mom and nodded.

“Okay Ashlynn,  you can hang out with him then, I’m just so nervous letting you out of my sight with your kidnappers still out there, be home by ten,” if only she knew that was my kidnapper.

Once we were out the door Bryce started talking obnoxiously and getting excited over everything, “I thought I was never going to see you again Ashlynn, did you get Cameron’s message?” she nodded.

“Oh yeah I heard on the news that you were suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and couldn't talk, Cameron told me it was fake and that you were choosing not to talk, is Cameron right?” Ashlynn nodded her head again.

They continued walking down the road in silence a while before they arrived at a park. They sat on a bench and  watched the leaves blow by, riding on the late autumn wind. It should snow soon since it's almost November but it hasn't yet. Ashlynn hated the winter so she was glad the snow was hiding. It was better that way.

“Do you want to see the guys?” Ashlynn looked at Bryce then her feet and shrugged. She wanted to but she had a feeling she would be kidnapped again and she wasn't ready. She wanted the guys to be her friends not her captors. Ashlynn began to shiver with the next bone chilling wind and Bryce decided it was time to take Ashlynn home.

“Do you hate Cameron?” Ashlynn shook her head no. she should be mad at him but every time she tries to hate him she remembers how sweet he was to her.

Stopping at her door Bryce gave her a hug and left her with only promises of coming back. Stepping inside she headed back up to her room and laid back down to go to sleep. Bundled up in her warm covers her happy dreams came back.
