When they arrived in Hermione's appartment, Draco decided to take a shower. He needed to clear his thoughts.
He stripped his clothes of his body and let the hot water run in his neck and on his back.
Were he and Hermione together? No, right?
Did he want them to be together?
He couldn't decide.. what if she still wanted Ron.
What if she fancied someone else.
What if she still hated him for the things he had done to her in their schoolyears?
What if....
I really need to stop this before my head explodes, Draco thought.
Where is your Malfoy pride? Have you lost your tongue? Just ask her man!
That was exactly what Draco was going to do, ask her.
He confidentely put his clothes back on and walked into the living room.
There she was, sitting on the couch, reading. (A/N duh)
He sat himself next to her and tried to see what book she was reading.
The titel said "Beauty and the Beast". It didn't say anything at all to Draco.
"Is it nice?" He asked Hermione.
Hermione jumped. "I didn't hear you coming, can you repeat the question?"
"The book, is it nice?" Draco repeated. "Yes, it is one of my favourite stories, it is about a very beatiful girl and a beast that fall in love."
"Isn't she scared of him?" Draco asked.
"At first, yes. But then she gets to know him and sees the kind and soft side of him.
I think that the beauty of this book is it's lesson. It says that you shouldn't judge someone by first impression, you have to get to know them first..."
That is kind of what happened between us, Draco thought. He sighed, time for action. Now or never.
"Hermione, I need to tell you something.."
Hermione looked concerned, "what is it Draco? Is it bad?"
"It depends..."
"On what?"
On that moment he leaned in and kissed her on her lips.
