"So, we were both forced into marriages, you more lucky than I, both had and lost sons, and now have dragons?" Lyanna smirked slightly, holding her wine glass as Daenerys met it with hers. "We should form a club,"

"We already have, it's called the Targaryen dynasty," Daenerys muttered.

"The failing Targaryen dynasty," Lyanna rolled her eyes at her aunt's shocked expression. "Well it is!Uncle Viserys was killed by his own greed and stupidity, Uncle Rhaegar was killed by my late father-in-law, my mother was murdered by the Lannisters through the Mountain and you're infertile,"

They had only known each other for at least five hours, but the two Targaryen's got on better than expected. Finding Xaros party more boring than sewing lessons, Lyanna had invited Dany up to her room. Alize, however, was still downstairs, captivated by the Western culture, left there alone as even Winter came back ustairs. Dany had also left someone; Ser Jorah. She had left Mormont with her Dothraki, instead bringing her three 'children', Drogon, Rhaegal and Viseryion.

The black one, Drogon, was already the biggest, and despite his young age, was puffing out his chest in an attempt to impress Rey. Rey however, was having none of his showing off, instead flapping her silver wings, coughing out a small ball of fire. Rhaegal and Viseryion were watching the two, heads cocked to one side, occasionally moving to sniff Rey. Lyanna chuckled, the scene in front of her reminding her of the dire wolves when they were pups, the way Winter and Ghost used to lay together in cold nights, Shaggydog and Nymeria play fighting whilst the others watched, Bran's unnamed wolf howling as he recovered, Grey Wind bringing his first kill to Robb, who looked disgusted but proud at the same time as his wolf dropped the mauled rat by his feet, Lady sitting by Sansa whilst she sewed.

"What about you?" Dany asked, snapping her out of her thoughts. "You can still have children, you could produce heirs?"

"No, never, I'm never having anymore children!" Lyanna said sharply, a lump already forming in her throat.

Dany didn't understand. Sure, she'd lost her son, but she'd never held Rhaego, not like Lyanna had held Brandon. Dany hadn't had the opportunity to see her son, never mind almost lay down her life for him. It hurt for Dany, but she never held him, and Dany seemed to have pushed it away, like he hadn't even existed. Lyanna wished she could do that, it would hurt a lot less than what she was going through now.

"Sorry," her aunt immediately apologised, reaching her hand out and taking Lyanna's.

"It's fine, I just wish I could forget. I mean, I always want to remember Brandon, he was my son, I loved him more than I thought possible, but sometimes, I wish I'd never had him," Lyanna sighed, drinking the rest of the wine in one gulp. Dany handed her niece her goblet and she drank the rest in that as well. "Gods, I drink much more and I'll turn into King Robert!"

Dany's face set into a glare at the mention of the Userper. "What was he like, Robert Baratheon? You should know, he was your father-by-law after all,"

"I hardly saw him," Lyanna admitted, shrugging. "When he was young, he was fit, and fierce and strong, everything a conqueror should be, but after the death of my aunt Lyanna, the woman he loved so dearly but unrequitedly, he started drinking more and more, until he ended up into the fat, old shit king met in Winterfell. He married Cersei Lannister, which would make any man want to become an alcoholic after you look past her beauty. She's a spiteful bitch, who didn't love him, and he didn't love her, hence why her children came from the Kingslayer. Robert enjoyed his time at Winterfell, I think it reminded him of a better time before he was King. Lady Stark had warned me before the royals arrived not to speak to them, but Robert liked me more than the others. I think I reminded him of my aunt Lyanna, and I think he wanted to marry me himself, but obviously he couldn't, so he made my uncle agree to my legitimisation and betrothal to Joffrey,"

Even the word 'Joffrey' came out bitterly, her face immediately grimacing at the thought of her ex-husband. Dany noticed this, and was reminded how afraid she was when she first married her sun-and-stars Drogo. Like Lyanna had said, they had both been forced into marriages, but at least Dany'd turned into a loving one. From what Dany already knew about Lyanna, she knew that she wasn't lucky enough for that to happen to her, or else her uncle and son would still be alive ad she'd still be in King's Landing.

"What do we do now then?" Lyanna asked, breaking the silence.

"Take the Seven Kingdoms back from those who took it from us," Dany said.

"How? You've got about fifty Dothraki and three baby dragons. I have a dire wolf and a baby dragon, but apart from that, we have nothing. You're here to try and negotiate men and ships, but if that goes wrong, we aren't going anywhere. You have no allies in the West either," Lyanna thought out loud.

"Will the North rally to our cause?"

"No, they're already fighting in one war, and after that, I expect they'll want to go back to their keeps and recover, that is if Robb wins in his war," Lyanna sighed.

"You think your cousin will lose?"

"Robb is a good fighter, and a good leader, but he's still a boy, only fifteen, and I fear for him, leading an army on his own against the Lannisters, but I think he has a fighting chance. If anyone can defeat those golden-haired-shits, my brother can," Lyanna grinned with pride. She missed Robb dearly, almost to the extent she regretted being here with Daenerys.

Lyanna shot another glance to the dragons to see Rey was attempting to fly with Rhaegal and Viseryion, whilst Drogon approached Winter curiously. The wolf got up, sniffing the baby dragon before Drogon flapped his wings proudly at her, coughing up a fireball, making Winter jump back, growling. The two girls laughed.

"We should wait before going west," Lyanna suggested. "Make alliances here in the East. Conquer a few cities. Eventually, when you've made an impact here in Essos, stories will travel to Westeros and those perfumed pricks who run the country will begin to fear us, begin to know that the Targaryen's are not gone, have not fallen to the dust. We need to make them fear first before we make them pay,"

"Good plan, I trust you, but what if your cousin's war is still going on?"

"We go west, help Robb, and doing that take the seven kingdoms. But, can you promise me one thing?"

"What's that?" Dany inquired, but she already knew what Lyanna was going to ask for.

"When we take the seven kingdoms, will you give me leave to go home to Winterfell with my brother and will you let Winterfell become a free and independent state, ruled by their own king, or queen?"

Dany didn't hesitate; she nodded immediately. At her gesture, Lyanna beamed, before letting out a small laugh.

"Long live Queen Daenerys Stormborn of house Targaryen, Queen on the south and of the East, and Long live King Robb Stark, King in the North,"

Hey guys!
I changed the layout of the author's note! I've been doing work counts on all my other stories (except Travels, which is discontinued, RIP) and they're easier than all those lines, so I thought I'd do it here too.

I tried to develop a bond between Dany and  Lyanna in this chapter and I really enjoyed writing it. Please leave feedback in the comments and make sure to vote. Also, thank you for 7K, it was the best sixteenth birthday present ever!
