I couldn't resist posting this chapter. I think this is my favorite chapter yet. I hope you enjoy!
Her words stuck in my head as she ran back to her room.
She doesn't even deserve you.
What did that mean? Was she jealous? Was she just trying to tell me something that I wasn't seeing? Did she know something about Emma that I didn't?
A million questions ran through my head. I was so confused.
Should I go up and try to fix things? Should I just let her go? Should I wait for her to come to me?
Without even realizing it, my feet had already started to walk up the stairs. I walked down the hallway with my hands in my pockets. I stood in front of her door waiting. What I was waiting for, I had no idea.
I slowly raised my hand to knock on her door and finally my knuckles lightly knocked on the door. A part of me was hoping that she wouldn't answer the door and I could just leave, but then she opened the door suddenly.
Her eyes were red and still filled with tears. She looked at me with uncertainty in her eyes and crossed her arms across her chest.
"Look, I really don't want to talk about this right now," she explained quietly.
I took a deep breath. I had to fix this, but how? "No, I wasn't going to talk about that," I lied.
She furrowed her eyebrows with confusion. "What did you want to talk about then?"
I took a deep breath. "Do you want to go swimming?"

"There you are!" She said with frustration.
I had been hiding from her all day but she obviously couldn't take a hint. "What do you want, Elaina?" I asked. I closed my eyes and tried to relax by the pool.
"Uh hello! You spilled grape juice on my brand new white sweater this morning at breakfast."
I shrugged. "So? Put some stain remover on it and voila, you're shirt is fine again."
"It isn't that simple!" she yelled with anger. "It's stained and probably won't come out."
I rolled my eyes then looked at her as she stood in front of me with her hand on her hip. "What do you want me to do about it?" I asked.
"I want you to replace it!" She sounded like a selfish, stuck-up rich girl which was very ironic since I knew for a fact her parents were struggling to pay their bills.
I sighed. "Fine, I'll replace it."
A smile formed on her face and she became so excited.
I stood up and mocked her smile. Her face turned bitchy again and she rolled her eyes.
I walked by her but I couldn't resist stopping in front of her and giving her a shove into the pool. She fell ungracefully and landed in the water followed by a huge splash. When she came above water, her hair was messed up and falling over her face.
"What the hell was that for?" She asked infuriated.
"You seemed like you needed to cool down a bit," I explained with attitude. "You were getting a little hot-headed."
"You little twerp!" She yelled at me. "I'm wearing jeans. These are going to take forever to dry!"
I crouched down by the edge of the pool and looked at her. "Then change out of them," I explained obviously.
