Chapter Eighteen - Leaving

Katniss POV

"Housemates Katniss and Peeta please return to the main house for eviction in 2 hours"

Peeta groans and I feel a panic rise within me. It's a double eviction tonight meaning two people will go home, I feel as though I will be one of those people but in all honesty I don't want to go home. Not yet.

Me and Peeta get up from the bed that we've not left these past 24 hours and we get ourselves dressed.

Once we are dressed he pulls me in for one last kiss as when we go back out there cameras will be on us again. When we pull away I give him a sad smile before taking his hand and leading him through the door to the main house.

As soon as we get back into the house Annie, Cato and Finnick run up to us and give us a hug. Cato thanks me repeatedly about giving him the letter from his family, Annie thanks me for giving her the day off and of course Finnick gets on his knees and thanks me for the takeaway, which makes us all laugh.

"Wait how did you know it was me?" I ask when we get to the living room.

"We got shown your clip when you went in your luxury hotel room" Johanna snaps as she sits on the opposite couch from me.

"I'm sorry about the whole-" I start but Johanna cuts me off.

"JAIL? I had to spend 24 hours in a tiny little jail. Not even a jail. It was a cage, meanwhile Delly here almost had a mental breakdown because we all had to ignore her" she shouts whilst pointing to Delly.

"Oh god I'm so sorry" I say sincerely.

"It's fine Katniss" Delly whispers.

"No it is not fine! Why did we have to have the shit punishments whilst you and Peeta got to fuck in a hotel room!"

I stand up and narrow my eyes at her, "you got a shit punishment because you were being a shit person, now shut the fuck up. You don't know if this will happen again and it would be a real shame if I got control again wouldn't it? Trust me Johanna I'm not an enemy you want" I hiss at her before turning around and walking to the bedroom to get ready for tonight's eviction.

Peeta comes through moments later and pulls me in for a hug although I feel the vibration of his laughter, "What?" I snap almost a little too forcefully because his face goes more serious, "I'm sorry I just-"

"It's fine baby, I'm just laughing because you should've seen the look on Johanna's face, it was a picture. I don't think anyone's ever told her where to go before" Peeta explains, "You're also really hot when you're angry" he whispers in my ear.

"See this would've went so different if we were in that hotel room" I murmur as a plant a few kisses on his neck.

Finnick comes in and ruins the moment, "THAT WAS AMAZING! I've known Johanna for a long time but that was something else! Her reaction!" he laughs before holding up his hand which I meet with mine for a high five.

I start doing my makeup shortly after, opting for a natural look with just some winged eyeliner and mascara for the eyes. I put a nude lipgloss on and after I've finished with makeup I start on hair, just straightening my hair and then back combing it a little at the roots just to add more volume.

When I finished I go to my space in the wardrobe and get out my dress which is pretty much my favourite dress I've ever owned.
