Chapter 6: Jess Has Got A Guy, Riley Has Got A Ugly Study Buddy

"Man whore huh? I didn't think you thought of me like that," Alec asks, I groan, "Can't you just leave me alone?" I ask, "Why? What fun would that be?" He says, currently I'm staring at my roof, when I should probably be studying or something important. "Because I'm grieving can't you see?" I ask him, he chuckles, "You said she's coming back, and it's not like she's dead," Alec says, "Yeah well in like a week," I say, "One week without your supper hot, funny," he says, "Kind, loyal," I say adding to his list, "Plays hard to get," he adds, "Smart, very good stylist," I say, "Umm," he says. I look over at him, "You see this is what I mean, you just ruined a perfectly good moment because of you not paying attention, we were actually getting along." I say standing and closing my window without his reply. Since its 9:16 on a Sunday night I decide to get ready for bed then go to bed. Once I've brushed my hair and teeth, and washed my face I change into pyjamas.

"Hey Riles! Your going to be late!" I heard someone shout, I woke up slowly, what time is it? I check my phone and see that it's 7:40 oh crap I forgot to set my alarm clock I groan, and jump out of bed to hop in the shower. I finished getting dressed and doing my makeup I skipped breakfast, I drove to school and was only late by ten minutes. I ran inside and walked towards my locker, I saw Alec leaning against the lockers casually playing on his phone. "What are you doing? Aren't you supposed to be in class?" I asked him, "Well yeah but I don't know my schedule I just go where you go and you weren't here so your welcome," he said, I started to put in my code, "Why would I thank you?" I asked, "I was the one who woke you up," Alec said, I looked over at him and he winked, I put my things in my locker and grabbed my L.A stuff. "Thanks barely," I said, he groaned and followed me to class. Mrs. Caswell was not happy I just smiled and Alec winked at her, "Take your seats, Mr. Rinder and Miss. Devin," She said angry, damn. Alec sits behind me, I lean back in my chair, "Is your friend, Sarah right?" Alec starts to say, "It's Sarah Cameron," I say trying not to groan to loudly, "Is there any chance that she is still a virgin?" He whispers into my ear, I slam my hand on to the table in front of me and spin around, "Excuse me!" I shout, "Miss. Devin! Spin around and pay attention!" I hear, Miss. Caswell shout, I turn slowly and a slow smile stretches across Alec's face.

Lunchtime
"So how was your weekend?" Jess asked as I sat down, "It was awesome," I say Jess's eyebrows raise, "Awe Jess, Sarah came up my cousin, and she's moving here!" I screamed, a few people looked my way, "Awesome I finally get to meet her!" Jess shouts back, Jess has heard many stories about Sarah, and Sarah a few about Jess. "Yours?" I asked taking a bite of my sandwich, "It was fine," she said looking down and biting her salad, when she looked up to see my face her cheeks were red. "Spill," I said, "Okay so I hung out with this guy, Martin-" "Martin?" I chuckled as Jess glared at me, "Don't just don't," she said, I stopped giggling immediately, "Anyways I had been crushing on him forever he had brown hair and green eyes and glasses, he is so smart, and I am head over my heels into him," she said smiling wildly. I saw a guy that fits her  description perfectly, when he saw me looking at him he put his fingers to his lips, I took a bite of my sandwich as I watched the scene play out, the guy tapped Jess's right shoulder then jumped over and sat on her left. She looked then jumped when she saw the guy, "Martin!" She screamed then punched him in the shoulder, "Hey that hurt," The guy, Martin, said rubbing his shoulder, Martin leaned over and whispered something in Jess's ear and she smiled, "Riley this is Martin, Martin Riley," She said we gave an awkward wave to each other. "So did you hear the new buzz?" Martin asked Jess, his elbow was on the table and he was looking intently at Jess, "No what is it?" She asked looking at me, "So since there is only four months left and a lot of virgins, you know Dylan and all those really popular guys?" Martin asked, "You mean man whores?" I said, grunting, "Hey you know them too!" Martin said sitting up normally, "Yeah I do one of them lives next to me," I said angrily, "Ooh damn, well they are calling themselves and a few others the Virginators," Martin said waving his hands in the air, I swallowed, "The what?" I asked, "Virginators the first one at the end of school year who has taken the most girls virginity wins," Martin says, "Luckily I'm a guy, sooo unless there's girls in this I'm good," Martin says Jess's eyes widen, and I do too, "Wait your still a virgin?" Jess is the first one to ask, "Um yeah aren't you?" He asks Jess, Jess lost hers in grade ten to her boyfriend needless to say she says it's a mistake and as far as I know she has only done it once. "No," she says blushing, now it's Martins turn to blush, "She only did it once to a douche though," I say, he just looks down in his lap. Their both blushing, "Hey kitty!" I hear a familiar voice yell from across the cafeteria, "Don't call me that!" I shout back, Alec grabs my shoulders and massages them it feels so good. "Why not? I can make you purr real good," he whispers in my ear sending shivers down my spine. I punch him in the chest and he slides in beside me, "So I don't know if you heard but," he says, "Yeah back away," I say, sliding farther down the bench, "Wait what?" He asks, "Virginators really?" I ask, "What no, that's Dylan M." I haven't decided if I'm in yet, I'd win anyways," Alec says, "And you wouldn't be in because?" I ask, "I like your girl Sarah," Alec says, "My girl Sarah won't come three feet close to you," I say, "What? Oh well that's already been over ridded," Alec says, I look at him, "What?!" I squeal, "I was in your room remember?" He asks, "Oh right," I groan, "Anyways I'm here because I'm kinda sorta failing L A, and your really good at L A sooo," he says trailing off, "Is that why your guys aren't with you?" I ask, "Well yeah," he says looking in his lap, "And since when do you care about passing?" I ask, "Since always," He says, running a hand through his gelled hair, "Will you.....tutor me?" He asks as if he's forbidden to say it, "No," I say, "What do I get out of it?" I ask, "Well I could give you a good time," he whispers in my ear, I stand, "Anything but that!" I say, "I'll think about what I want out of it, this week I'm picking kids up after school," I say, he smiles and the bell goes for lunch, "On Sunday we start!" Alec says as I walk out of the cafeteria.
