The next morning I awaken to the sounds of laughter I sit up slowly and realize Alec isn't in the bed I check my body making sure I'm still fully dressed which I am, and see all the kids playing with Bentley including Alec.
"Don't worry Riley we fed him last night and got him from the car," Natalie informs me,
"Awe thanks guys," I say sleepily
"Riley morning Hun, breakfast is downstairs," Marie says once she is at the top of the stairs,
"Thanks Marie," I say
"Thank Kevin he is an awesome cool," she says
"Oh he made it last night?" I ask
"Oh he did and I can tell you he is sure funny," Marie laughs, "Kids try and keep it beat up here, see you kids later," and then she goes back downstairs. I push myself out of bed and throw my hair into a messy bun trotting down the stairs, I see Kevin and Jared sitting at the table mom and Marie in the kitchen. "Kevin," I sing
"Riley hi," he says
"You made it?" I ask
"Without a scratch," he winks I smile and a hug,
"Good to see you again," I say and he gets back to his conversation with Jared I sit at the bar stool on the counter sits my breakfast. "This is good thanks," I say
"You are welcome," mom says I finish and head back upstairs busying myself with showering and homework. "Riley can we go play at the playground?" Mark asks
"I'm not sure it's pretty snowy outside," I say
"Yeah but please?" He asks
"How about we play a board game instead?" I ask
"Twister!" Natalie shouts,
"Okay!" Mark shouts, everyone starts playing and I sit on the bed getting into more homework,
"Whatcha working on?" Alec asks sitting beside me, I ignore him, "Listen I'm sorry," he says
"What happened in that car accident?" I ask
"What?" I let my books down and look up at him,
"You're such a good bike rider what happened in that accident in August?" I ask
"Nothing, it was just a slip up," he says shaking it off,
"You broke your leg, and fractured your ribs, you call that a slip up?" I ask
"Listen that was just an outcome,"
"What happened? I mean something must've been going through your mind when that happened, what was it? And where were you going?" I ask
"That doesn't matter Riley! None of it matters okay?! It was a slip up!" He shouts getting up from the couch and racing down the stairs the kids look up at me and I shrug, why is he so upset about it?

I had just finish my chemistry homework and Alec was in bed just trying to sleep, I reached over and turned off the lamp, I felt like I had to say something to him, so I went for it.
"Alec I'm sorry for pushing you," I said, he didn't answer, "I just....well I've had a lot of stuff going on lately," I say,
"You've had a lot of stuff going on?" He asks
"Well yeah stuff with Adam and exams and-"
"I've had to deal with watching my ex girlfriend who I still love run with a different guy every single night," he says sitting up,
