(Oliver POV)
I nodded to Lyssa, signaling it was okay.
"Madame Raja," she paused, "I'm the descendant of Sarah." I could see the shock on the older woman's face.
"Y-you are? You're sure?" Madame Raja asked skeptically.
I could see Lyssa's nerves going taught, so I grabbed her hand. We used to hold hands all the time when we were children. It didn't mean so much then. It was just a show that we have each other's back, but now... it's different. This time, I'm doing it out of affection. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Madame Raja smirking at us.
Lyssa had regained her composure and spoke, "Yes, last night... we witnessed something. Something different."
"Something different?" the older woman questioned.
I explained to her what had happened to Lyssa and I over the course of the past few days. She seemed speechless.
"So, we went to the library and did some research on my family history. I am a direct descendant of Sarah and we believe that my uncle Mark is the descendant of Obadiah," Lyssa concluded.
"I thought I recognized you when you walked in. You look exactly like her," Madame Raja told Lyssa tucking a piece of hair behind her ear. "Follow me."
The old woman started walking towards her library, a place I had been many times before. She pulled down a book, blowing the dust off of the cover. She opened up the book and started flipping through the pages, until she stopped at one.
Madame Raja turned the book around showing Lyssa and I the page that she had stopped on. Lyssa gasped and I squeezed her hand reassuringly. Lyssa looks exactly like her. Beautiful black hair, soft ivory skin, and kind blue eyes. So gorgeous and breathtaking. Okay, maybe I was looking more at Lyssa than the portrait of Sarah, but I'm sure they look alike.
Madame Raja gave me a suggestive look and smirked. I glared at the woman.
(Lyssa POV)
The woman in the portrait. She looks exactly like me. I was shocked. I looked at Madame Raja, but it seemed like she was busy having a Mexican stand off with Oliver.
"So, you are Sarah's descendant. What do you need me to do?" the older woman asked kindly.
"I need some help learning how to use and control this power. We also need a place to stay, if that's possible. If not, we don't want to be a bother," I smiled.
"You can stay here, but I've only got one bed," she answered.
I instantly blushed, "Th-that's okay, we've been having sleepovers since we were three." Why the heck am I blushing?! Come on, Lyssa! Get yourself together! You've slept in the same bed before!!
(Madame Raja POV [Cuz, why not?])
I see the way he looks at her. I see the way she looks at him. I hear what they think about each other. Why can't they tell each other? Oh, well. I guess I'll have to give them a push.
Lyssa's face became pink with embarrassment and worry. Oliver's face became flushed red with anger and regret. I could hear him thinking 'Why did I pick Raja?! I swear she's meddling again!'
Well, he's not wrong...
"Well, it's best that we all get some rest. It'll be a long day of training tomorrow." I smiled and led the slightly worried teens to their room.
Now, this will be interesting...
(Oliver POV)
Why in the world did I bring her to Raja?! I knew she'd meddle in my love life!! Ugh! My face is probably like a tomato by now...
