(Lyssa POV)

I had been training for about four hours and we still weren't getting anywhere. "This is pointless! I'll never be able to control it!" I exclaimed.

"You can do this. You're just not trying hard enough!" Madame Raja replied.

"Not trying hard enough?!" I questioned, "We've been at this for four hours and nothing's changed! How hard am I supposed to try if I'm dead beat tired?"

Before our argument could go any further, Oliver butted in, "How about we just take a break, okay?" He smiled that million dollar smile and we both agreed.

"I'm gonna take a nap," I said as I walked to the bedroom with Oliver behind me. I flopped on the bed and Oliver rubbed circles on my back. "I just don't know if I can do this, Oliver. What if I can't?"

"Stop, you can do this. It just takes some time. You didn't get the Pythagorean Theorem on the first try, did you?" he asked, trying to cheer me up.

"No..." I answered.

"Then, don't expect this to be any easier. Okay?" he lifted my chin so that I could look him in the eyes.

"O-okay.." I laid my head on his shoulder and something began to happen...

Oliver's chest began to glow. [Oh yes, I did!]

(Oliver POV)

I was cheering Lyssa up, when my chest started to glow, "W-what's happening?!"

"I-I don't know! Madame Raja!" Lyssa yelled, not wanting to leave my side.

The older woman soon came into the room and just smiled. What the heck?! Is she not going to help me?!

"W-what's happening to me?" I asked her worriedly.

"Don't worry, dear. You'll be fine. Nothing is wrong," Madame Raja reassured me. "This is just wonderful! Well done, Lyssa!"

I quirked a brow and looked at my best friend. She gave me the same look, not knowing what happened.

"What happened?" I asked as the glowing faded away.

"Lyssa has just transferred her powers to you. Now, you both have Sarah's gift," she explained.

"B-but... This shouldn't be possible. I don't come from a 'magical' family," I insisted.

"It's very unlikely, yes. But, I knew this was going to happen the moment I saw the two of you," Madame Raja answered.

"How?" Lyssa asked.

"It has one requirement. A simple one at that, but it rarely ever happens. Especially in today's world..." the older woman continued.

"What is it?" I asked curiously.

"That, my dears, you will have to figure out on your own. Let's eat and then the both of you need to get some rest. We have lots of training to do tomorrow!" Madame Raja explained, now in a very chipper mood.

We ate our Chinese takeout and then Lyssa and I went to bed. She stole one of my sweatshirts to sleep in and I just slept shirtless again. I wonder if this'll get her to notice me? Ohmigosh... She looks so adorable in my hoodie... I was blushing furiously.

"Goodnight, Oliver," she smiled curling up next to me.

I wrapped my arms around her as she fell asleep, "Goodnight, princess." I'm so happy she didn't hear that.

Hey guys!! I hope that you enjoyed this chapter! I certainly enjoyed writing it! I think I might start asking questions about each chapter to see what my readers think so:

Why do you think that Lyssa could transfer her powers to Oliver?

I really want to hear your thoughts. Also! I have a very great new friend of mine who gave me a lot of great feedback. PhantomOfWriting is also writing a book with the same title. Please check them out! They are absolutely amazing. Please don't forget to:
