I woke up and sat there for a minute. About five minutes later I let out a giant silent yawn. I blinked a couple of times and stood up slowly. 'I. am. So. Fucking. Tired.' I thought as I leaned against a root. I spread my body as I stretched, falling down with my arms and legs to the side of me. I got back up slowly and blinked lazily as I looked around. I walked out of my cave and stared in boredom at the dreary scene. I yawned again and began padding off into the distance. 'it's been awhile since I ate anything... I should eat now.' I thought, and with that I began my hunting spree. I ran into the dark woods, my eyes sharp as nails as I sniffed the ground, quickly picking up the scent of a Menos. I quickly ran to it, but stopped as soon as I realized it wasn't one Menos, it was a whole hoard. "you gotta be shittin' me." I mumbled in disbelief. That's when the first head turned to me and I knew I was completely fucked. It wailed as loud as it could and all the Menos turned to me. "MOTHER FUCKER." I shouted angrily and darted off.
Sure I'm stronger now but I'm still the lazy person I was before! I continued to dart between trees as they chased me, ceros firing off every second. After a good five minutes of running I gave up and turned around. There was more. "Fuck me." I said to myself and rolled my eyes and started to attack them all. I rushed between their legs quickly, avoiding the random ceros and feet. It was pretty annoying when they were so freaking close.
After I had finally killed all the fuckers I felt better. 'I'm awake now, had a very good meal, and got some exercise. Good.' I thought to myself as I headed back to my cave. "Now before I can even go find my pet I have to find a way to get my ass up there. Hm...." I said, looking around. "I guess the only way I'll be able to do it is by climbing up there and shooting a cero." I said and shrugged, jumping onto a nearby tree and hopping from tree to tree. Once I had arrive at the top- which was very high up might I add- I shot a cero at it, my mouth being the origin of it this time.
Bad idea.
The sand ended up falling down on top of me and nearly made me fall, luckily I didn't though. I sighed and started to think again, what could I do? That's when it hit me- literally. A rock crashed onto the top of my head causing me to lose my balance. Yes, now I was free falling; familiar?
I looked around for a way to catch myself but noticed I had fallen pretty far from the trunk of the tree. I sighed and looked down. 'I have time.' I thought with a sweat drop at the distant ground. I started to think of the earth rising to catch me, the sand flying up and hardening into a plat form. I continued to imagine it as I opened my eyes and stared at the ground. Soon enough I felt grains of sand start to touch my fur. I concentrated a harder, my gaze at the floor narrowing into a glare. The sand started to fly up faster but it wasn't enough.
The ground was getting closer.
'Fuck...' I thought as I concentrated harder, a head ache appearing. I brushed it off as I continued to try to summon the sand upwards, this time trying to lift the platform from the floor. Soon enough I created the platform, but I was getting dangerously close to the floor now. I rose the sand up to meet me and hardened it so it wouldn't break. Soon enough I was getting close enough, so I prepared for the landing and as soon as my paws touched the sand I bent my legs to take the pressure off them. I sighed, that was close.
I took a deep breath and focused on the sand platform rising, taking me back to the top. It was wobbly, but I managed. My only problem now is getting through the sand. The logical thing to do would be to split the sand using my elemental powers right? 'Yeah, I can barely keep this platform up; no way I can do that and split all that sand apart.' I thought in a huff. I growled in frustration and moved the platform to the tree so I could rest on it. I then started to try to split the sand. It worked for a bit, but it took a lot of hard work. And keeping it split even an inch all the way through was hell.
I let out an exasperated howl and glared at the sand. That's when I heard a Menos screech. I smirked; maybe I can use a Menos to get through that?
I let out another loud howl, along with a lot of reiatsu. I heard that screech getting closer so I just sat and waited. When it appeared underneath me I jumped down, my paws impacting lightly on its mask. I walked to its nose, my tail clicking loudly and my nails scratching its mask. I had to radiate power if I was going to get this to work. I increased the natural amount of reiatsu that was rolling off me to a higher level. I sat down on the tip of its nose and gave it a cold glare. "You will listen to me." I said, authority clear in my voice. It let out another screech and attempted to swat me off.
'I should've known this one has its own conscious, its mask is personalized.' I mumbled, glaring at the Menos. 'I'm going to have to show it that I'm stronger if this is going to work.' I thought glaring icily at it. I launched myself forward, bounding towards the Menos. My paws quickly impacted its mask, knocking it down. I jumped onto the tip of its nose, my paws enclosing around the sharp point to keep me from falling. It showed balance and grace, another sign on strength. I whipped my tail to the side, multiple more coming out, tips laced with poison. I had them shoot up and bend down, strangling the Menos's limbs, the tips pointing into the skin. I had one last tail come over my head and point directly in between its eyes, the poison dripping dangerously onto its mask. I growled low again, "Still going to be defiant?" I threatened, my muzzle tilted up as I glared down at it.
It shook its head a little and I retracted my tails, "Good."
The Menos took a second to get back to its feet, but it managed. I quickly climbed it, using its legs and body. Once I had arrived on top of its nose I turned around to face it. It screeched, probably its way of asking what it had to do. "I want to go up there." I stated, my tail pointing upwards. It screeched loudly again and opened a portal, walking through it. When we came out we were on top. I smirked; it worked perfectly. I padded to its shoulder and bit it lightly, the blood dripping into my mouth. 'It'd be a useful ability.' I thought, jumping off the Menos. It screeched and glared at me.
"Thank you for your help, you may go back. Warn the rest of them not to mess with me." I stated. It screamed again and opened a portal and left. I sighed, this is taking forever. I looked around, scrutinizing the sandy plains. I couldn't see anything that was alive. I shook my head a bit and started to walk, nothing in the area that I could sense. When I finally picked up on a hollow it was too big to be a pet. I continued to wander around looking for a small pet when I finally found one! It was a small snake hollow.
I ran towards it, sensing larger hollows closing in on it as well. When I arrived it was already surrounded by 5 hollows. I quickly ran over, deciding to see if it had any useful abilities, not that I would eat it, just to see if it would be useful in a fight. It was terrified, but it didn't let it show. 'Bravery; got that one.' I thought, watching the others smirk at it threateningly. Just as one lunged at him and was about to pounce it dug straight into the ground. I looked around curiously, then watched in awe as it shot up straight through the hollows stomach. 'That'd be nice to have on a team.' I thought, continuing to watch as the other hollows attacked it. Another one jumped on it from above and it hissed at it, poison spraying from its mouth. The hollow disintegrated in midair, the snake turning to the next.
'It handles battle well too. Stays focused and doesn't give mercy.' I thought. I watched as it lunged at another hollow, sinking its fangs deep into its neck. That hollow died. All that was left was another hollow and me. The other hollow was large and intimidating, stronger than the others-not that that really means anything. The others were very weak. The hollow jumped at it and after a while the hollow had the snake pinned face down. Just as the hollow was about to kill the snake and eat it, I knocked it out of the way.
I growled, standing over to snake protectively. The hollow glared harshly at me, trying to intimidate me. I snapped my jaws together, my head lowering dangerously as I let out a loud growl. The hollow started to walk towards me, so I smirked and released a cero from my jaw. It fell to the floor in shock and slowly disintegrated.
I stepped away from the snake a bit and stared at it. It looked at me hesitantly, curling up a bit. It had many small cuts on its body, and underneath all the scales was probably some internal damage as well, it having been strangled harshly by the previous hollow. I got rid of the glare I had earlier and stepped towards it, but it hissed at me, its fangs protruding from its mouth. I backed up a bit and put my head down. "I just want to help." I said, taking a step closer, it hesitated a bit, but retracted its fangs back into its mouth, curling up into a ball.
'It doesn't have a big body, so the blood he's lost already is probably enough to make him faint.' I thought, glancing over its wounds. I walked over and put my head down so it could climb on, but it didn't. I tilted my head to look at him out of the corner of my eyes; he was looking at me curiously. I grinned and nudged him with my muzzle. Apparently getting the point he slithered onto my head and curled up again.
"You're going to need to heal up; I'm guessing you don't have regeneration." I stated, already knowing he doesn't. It's possible, but he would've been healing by now, maybe even healed. I waited for a response then remembering that It's highly doubted he could talk. "Ok, how about you tap your tail? One tap for yes two taps for no, ok?" I asked. I felt a tap on my head, signaling he understood. "Ok, so do you have regeneration?" I asked, making sure it was a yes or no question. I felt two taps, so I sighed. "Hm... well, I'm going to make sure you're ok, but could you stick with me? I need company." I said, feeling a tap on my head. I smiled, "alright then snaky, let's get you some help!" I said happily. I started to think, how could I fix him up? He probably doesn't have the same ability as mine, so he can't just eat someone with it.
I continued to walk as I concentrated. Then it hit me. His blood dripped down onto my paw, 'Maybe if I can insert my blood into his my regeneration will automatically heal him?' I thought, well it was worth a try!
I put my head down and left him slide off. He looked tired as hell, so I had to hurry up. I lifted my tail and he looked at me uncertainly, probably thinking I was going to kill him. I brought my paw up and made a quick slit. Nothing happened for a second, showing how clean the cut was. Soon the blood bubbled up, soaking my fur. I lifted my paw and let it hover over the snake's bloody body. I watched as my blood dripped onto his scales, leaking into the cuts that have finally stopped bleeding. I watched closely at the cuts and just as I had hoped they started to close. I put my paw down happily watching as the cuts on his body healed. "Feeling better?" I asked, hoping he wasn't still feeling all that bad.
"better." He said which basically made me jump ten feet in the air.
"I thought you couldn't talk!" I accused angrily, shock over taking me.
"You just assumed that, so I decided to play along." He mumbled, looking up at me, amusement clear in his eyes. I pouted angrily and huffed, lowering my head for him to get on.
"Just shut up, we're going into the Menos forest." I mumbled.
"Menos forest? That place is dangerous isn't it?" he asked, making me laugh.
"Sweetie, you have no idea."

I sighed as I woke up, my vision blurred. My physical wounds had healed, but my head was still reeling. "I'll have to look for her tomorrow.... Or something..." I said as I drifted off, the sounds of hollows fighting and Menos screeching in the distance keeping me on edge as I slept.
