I dream of a man in yellow, speeding along beside me. We enter my home, and before I could do anything, he sticks his hand through my father's chest, and I watch in slow motion as he drops to the ground.

I wake up drenched in sweat.

The school day went by faster than normal, and I walked home with my bag stuffed with paperwork.

"Damn. So that's what six months worth of work looks like. When is everything due?" Greg asks, jogging up to me.

"They never exactly gave me a date, just get it done."

Greg pats me on the back, a sarcastic smile on his face. "Well, have fun!" He says before running off to his house.

I rush through a quarter of my work, then I hear a car horn in my driveway. I peek out the window and see a S.T.A.R. Labs van with Cisco at the wheel, and Dr.Wells sitting 'shotgun'. I jump into the back.

"Hey, Cisco. Dr. Wells. where's Caitlin?" I ask while I buckle my seat belt.

"She's setting up for the tests we are going to run today back in the cortex." Dr. Wells explains.

The car ride is not filled with silence, but a heated debate between me and Cisco over the dark side and light side of the force from Star Wars.

"Peace and balance! Not to mention, multiple colors of light sabers." Cisco points out.

"But the finger neck pinches!" I insist, making a choking noise. "And force lightning."

We argue  back and forth for several more minutes, before Dr. Wells breaks us up.

"Can we just agree to disagree?!" Harrison half-yells. We both shut up. I turn my gaze to the window, and watch the scenery go by.

When we arrive at S.T.A.R. Labs, Caitlin is standing in the parking lot next to about twelve boxes.

"Took you long enough." She mumbles quietly to herself. "Chris, can you help me and bring these boxes to the back to the van? I still have some equipment in the lab to get."

"Sure thing." I tell her. Using my speed, I bring three boxes to the back and into the van before Dr. Wells stops me.

"Chris." He says. "Stop. We don't know if your speed is a temporary side-effect, so stop using it." He half growls at me. I'm taken back by his sudden aggression.

"Yeah. Of course." I stare at the ground, and walk back to the boxes.

'So suddenly Wells doesn't want me to use my speed all of a sudden... Weird.'  I think to myself. But, I shrug it off, thinking; 'He is a scientist and all.' I bring the rest of the boxes back to the van, and wait for Caitlin and Cisco to return.

They come back, and we all get into the van.

"Who's watching Barry?" I ask. "What'll happen if he wakes up, and we're out?"

Cisco turns to me. " We have someone watching him. Don't worry. And, even if he does wake up, there's a chance we might hear her screams of joy from here."

We arrive at an air strip within a few minutes. It's extremely overgrown, and the pavement is cracked from several years of landings. However, it is completely deserted.

"What happened here?" I ask Caitlin as she syncs her tablet to the device on my wrist.

"Ferris Air sold it off. There was a crash in Coast City, resulting in a disappearance of one of their test pilots. All synced here!" Caitlin shouts to Cisco.

"Good!" He shouts back. "Chris, come here!"

I walk over, and he hands me a folded gray material, a helmet the same color, and a pair of goggles. I unfold the cloth, and it's some form of a cross-country or wrestling uniform. I walk back into the van, and change into it. However, it is a bit small.

"How's it fit?" Cisco asks.

"It's a tad bit small." I respond, exiting the van.

"Okay. I'll have to make some size adjustments later." He mutters to himself. Dr. Wells approaches me, and points to a starter block. We head in that direction, and Wells talks to me once we get there.

"As much as I want to find out your true potential, I must warn you. Do not exert your self Christopher. Please do be careful." He tells me. "If there is anything wrong, you'll hear one of us on the comm system." Harrison says. I nod and hand him my helmet so he can add the comm system, then get myself set up at the starer block.

Wells backs away, and I hear Cisco count down over the comm.

"One."

"Two."

"Three."

I take off, pushing myself to go faster and faster. Then, I see the man in yellow killing my dad. I tumble into some barrels that had been placed in the center of the strip.

Everything goes black.

Third Person P.O.V.

The S.T.A.R. Labs group gathered their things and took Chris into the med wing, laying him on a bed next to Mr. Barry Allen. Dr. Wells exits, and enters a strange room with what appears to be braille on the walls.

He stands up from his wheel chair, and removes his glasses and leaves them in the seat of his chair

He stands up from his wheel chair, and removes his glasses and leaves them in the seat of his chair. Wells then proceeds to speak.

"Subject 85 is unconscious due to a lack of focus during tests. He is expected to wake any second now.   85's speed has been determined, he can run at the speed of 500 knots, with an energy output of 130 joules. Subject 64's speed is still not yet known because he is still in a comatose state. More to come."

On the intercom: Dr. Wells? Chris is conscious.

Wells then places his glasses back on his head, sits down, and wheels out of the braille room.
