Chapter 8:News about the Poneglyph

*next morning*

Arabella pov
When I woke up, I felt extremely comfortable. I breathed heavily, and felt my eyes adjust to waking up. As I looked around, it took me a moment to realize that I wasn't sleeping in my own bed. I sat up abruptly, and looked around.

"I'm in...Sabo's room.."I whispered in disbelief.

Sure I've been in his room heaps of times, but this time...I was actually sleeping in it! Oh god, I hope I didn't fall asleep while searching for hints about the Poneglyph...

"And so she awakes."

I snapped my head, and saw Sabo walking in. I blushed, and out of reflex, I pulled my bed sheets up over my chest, but realized that I was wearing a old shirt that-...wasn't mine.

"S-Sabo..I-"
He raised his hand up."Its okay."He then blushed."You...fell asleep on me."

I went beet red, and the image of me asleep on Sabo. I shot out of bed, and was on my feet.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry! Why didn't you wake me up?! I could've gone to bed, and-"
"I didn't want to wake you up...you looked so peaceful."Sabo answered bashfully.
If it was even possible, my blush went brighter."I-I..you still should've woken me up."
"Sorry, sorry."

I got out of bed & cooled off, then did a double take."Hey...is this shirt yours?"
"Yeah, sorry."
I felt myself smile."Its okay. I'll wash it. Its really sweet of you, Sabo."
"But I undressed you without your consent!"
"Sure I was asleep, but I know that you wouldn't try anything on me. I trust you."I said honestly.

'Woah, where did that come from? Sure I'm telling the truth, but that sounded way too romantic.'

I awkwardly coughed."Anyway, I better go & get dressed. Do you wanna meet for breakfast?"
He smiled."Yeah, breakfast sounds good."
"Okay, I'll see you then."

(A/N:Just saying, she is wearing tights on her legs.)

I quickly left the room with my clothes (that were neatly folded on his desk), and practically ran back to my room. I threw the door open, and slammed it shut. I threw myself onto the bed, and covered my face in my hands.

'Oh my god, my heart was beating so fast back there! Why was I blushing?! Why did that have to happen?! Why am I acting like this?! Do I have a incurable heart disease?'

"Thats a bit morbid."I mumbled to myself.

I sat up, and grabbed some clothes from my closet (A/N:During her stay, Koala bought new clothes for her). When I took Sabo's shirt off, I stopped. The shirt itself was a simple grey t-shirt with nothing on it...yet, it felt special. I held it up to my nose, and sniffed it.

'It smells like him. Cinnamon & coffee, with a hint of that nice cologne he wears. And more importantly, the fabric feels so soft.'

I buried my face in the shirt, and sighed faintly.

"What is wrong with me? Has a demon possessed me?"

Disregarding the thought, I went in, and had a shower, tossing Sabo's shirt & my tights into the washing machine along the way. After showering, I changed into this dress:

With a simple pair of black Mary jane high heels. I put a blue rose clip in my hair, and locked the heir loom around my neck. I left my room, and met up with Sabo down at the dining area.

Sabo pov
Aa soon as I saw Arabella, all I could think about was:

'Damn.....'

I did my best to not oggle at how good she looked in that dress. I noticed everything about her, I realize. From the way she has her hair, the way she moves & laughs, to the way she dresses herself. I decided that maybe I should at least give her a compliment.

I leaned towards her as we walked in. "You look absolutely great, by the way."

Her reaction was adorable, and I let out a small smile. For breakfast today was steam cake, with our own choice of either a fruit salad or a cereal. During the time we were eating, a Staff member approached the both of us, and saluted.

"Ah, Chief & Miss Arabella, Dragon-san would like to see you both after breakfast please."He informed.
"At ease. Good...thank you for telling us. Dismissed."
He bowed in respect, then left the room.
"What do you think it could be about?"She asked.
"Hopefully its about the documents. Now, I dunno about you, but I'm gonna go grab some more."

Arabella pov
After Sabo ate almost everything in the dining area, we both went over to Dragon-sans office. He let us in, and sat us both down.

"So, what is it that you wanted to talk to us about, Dragon-san?"Sabo asked.
"Its about the Moonlight Poneglyph."He turned to me."Miss Arabella, we might've found the Moonlight Poneglyph."

I stood up from my chair."Really?!"
"Yes. But its a maybe at this point. We know that it will have the family crest on the stone, as you've already told us. I've gone, and gotten a agent to check if it really is the Poneglyph. But...the problem is, is that where it is, its far from here, so it may take at least 3-4 months for them to get there on the high speed ship." Dragon-san explained.

My grin was from ear to ear."Oh this is good news! Great news in fact! Thank you so much for doing this! I wish I could repay you..."
Dragon-san grinned."That wouldn't have been necessary. But anyway, I'll keep you updated on everything. You're both dismissed."

Sabo & I left the room, and I hugged Sabo. Sabo was at first surprised.

"Woah woah woah..!"
"Sorry! I'm just so happy! I'll finally get this over & done with!"I cheered
"What..what will you do after the mission is complete?"He asked.
I let go of him."I dunno...I guess, go back to normal? Which is just me...infiltrating places."

'Why do I feel..like I don't wanna go back to that? Come on, you've always wanted to leave this place, right?'

And then, at that moment, as we were walking down the hall, I realized:

'Have I become attached to this place?'
