Arabella pov
I watched with a smile on my face as all the kids clamoured off, talking & laughing with Amaya. Next to me, Taiyō grinned while Tsuki simply smiled with me.

"The Morgenstern girl surely did gain confidence." Tsuki said.
Taiyō nods enthusiastically. "I'm happy for her!"
I chuckled. "She's a little darling. Before when I started, she just needed a little bit of help."
"Heh! She looks up to you, Arabella! She wouldn't stop worrying about you when you caught that cold."
I blushed, and hid my face with my hair, the two guys laughed at my bashfulness.

'Its Amaya's birthday tomorrow. Luckily, my present is just about done!'

Before leaving, us three quickly tided up the training area, and packed away the weapons that were left out. After that, I went back to my office. I took off my high heeled boots, and padded around the place with only my socks on. I went underneath my desk, and opened up a secret compartment.

"Ah, there we are."

I laid out Amaya's birthday present on my desk. I was making a Star charm. I had made it out of coloured glass. Sure, colouring glass costs me some blood, but its okay. Its only a small amount to make it coloured.

(A/N: Okay so basically the star charm looks like that Wayfinder from Kingdom Hearts that Kairi made. But instead, I've coloured it with black, silver & red)

"Now I just need to attach the string..." I muttered to myself.

And then finally, it was done. Five weeks worth of crafting & planning has been completed!

With a big grin, I held it out in front of me.
"Oh Amaya-chan, I sure hope you like it!"
A knock sounded on my door.
"Come in."

Striding into my office, was Sabo. He didn't have his long black jacket, hat & gloves on today, and only had a pair of goggles on his blond head. His loose blue pants were, as normal, tucked into his black buckled boots. He spotted the Star charm in my hand, and quirked up a curious eyebrow.

"Ooooo whats that? Looks pretty."
"Its Amaya-chan's birthday present." I held it out to him. "I've finally finished it!"
Sabo held it gently in his hand. "Wow, this looks great! Amaya-chan will love it."
I smiled. "You know, she wanted to see you on her birthday." I giggled. "She thinks of us as her parents."
Sabo blushed. "R-really?"
"Yes, but she knows not to take that idea too far."
Sabo handed the charm back to me. "Well, if I get a invite, then count me in!"

I smiled, which then turned into a teethy smile. As soon as Sabo saw that, he blushed & hugged me. I stared at him.

"What-"
"That smile was so cute." He said quickly."I love that smile, I think I've fallen in love with you & that cute smile."
"No, you're cuter!" I argued childishly.
"Oh, and you smell nice."
"R-really?!"
Sabo kissed my head. "Like grapes, lavender & lilac." He murmurs as he trails kisses from my head, temple, cheek, then finally at my lips.

"We haven't had a lot of us time...huh?" I murmured in between kisses.
"Its the schedules fault." He pants in my ear.
I chuckled. "Yeah, it really is."
He pulled away, nuzzling himself into the crook of my neck. "But then I think: "Hey, at least I still get to see her somehow."
Sighing softly, I quietly agreed with him.

"Hey," He called. "lets go out on a date."
I grin. "Count me in."

When I got up this morning, I was rushing around everywhere, trying to find one of my dresses that Amaya loves.

'Yayayayaay! Its her birthday today!'

'Yayayayaay! Its her birthday today!'

Rushing, I threw on some tights, heels & tied my hair up in a high pony tail, my fringe still on my forehead. I quickly put the star charm in some wrapping, then rushed over to Sabo's room. I practically kicked the door down, and shook him around.

"WAKE UP WAKE UP ITS HER BIRTHDAY!" I yelled.
Sabo screamed. "Okay I'm up! Calm down!"
"Get dressed!!! Hurry up we need to see her!"
"Okay!!!! Stop scaring me!"

After Sabo got dressed, our feet pounded down the hall as we ran towards the childrens ward. We were shown to where her mini party was being held; inside their dining hall. A group of kids Amaya's age were huddled around a table, eating cake & opening her presents. I spotted Amaya, and her eyes lit up.

"You made it!"

She got up, and ran over to us, her white summer dress flittering as she ran. Just as she hugged both of our legs, I knelt down, and hugged the small girl. She nuzzled into my neck, and sighed.

"You smell so nice!"
I giggle. "Thanks, darling. Happy birthday!"
Sabo, who was also kneeling down, got a hug as well. "Hey, Ama-chan, Happy birthday!"
She giggled as I set her down. "Thanks! Aaand-" I held out her present to her. "this is to you!"
She gasped. "You didn't have to!"
"Oh but I did. I know it's not much, but I wanted to give you something that I made."

I watched as Amaya carefully unwrapped, until she finally had the star charm in her hands. Her yellow eyes were alight as she stared at the charm.

"Its so pretty!"
I smiled. "Its a Star charm. It'll keep all the bad luck away from you if you have it in your possession. I made it just for you."
She smiled up at both of us. "Thank you both so much!" She held it up to the light. "As if I'll ever lose this! Never never never! Nuh uh! Ain't happening!"

"Um? Ah! Chief! Moonlight-san!"

Walking in was one of Dragon-sans personal workers.

"Oh, whats wrong?" Sabo asked.
"D-Dragon-san requests to see you both...he's assigning you both on a mission."
I stood up. "Wait, but I'm a tutor, I shouldn't be going on missions."
"I-I'm sorry, I'm just here to fetch you both."

I sighed, and turned to Amaya, who had big puppy dog eyes.
"Are you leaving?"
"Yeah, sorry honey. Dragon-san wants to see Sabo & I. I promise that when I get back, we'll do something together."
She sniffed. "Promise?"
I wrapped my pinky around hers. "I promise!"

She giggled as I pulled away, then kissed her forehead. Sabo pet her head, and with one final wave, we left the mini party, and went off to pay Dragon-san a visit.

"Wonder why he needs me for this one. Surely there's gotta be other people..." I sighed.
Sabo pouted at me. "Ya don't wanna be around me."
I flicked his forehead, making him retort. "Of course I wanna be around you! Its just....its not my job, is all I'm thinking."
"Then again," Sabo added. "there have been a lot of people going out doing missions....maybe Dragon-san is finally getting started on throwing the Government over?"

I sighed inwardly. "Lets hope so."
