We walk out of science laughing our asses off, until a sharp nudge pinned  into my rib cage,  I scrunch my face in pain only to realise I was pushed over by some asshole of a guy, I look up and see Sam on top of me, "what the-" I gathered my pages together and stood up with the help of Abril and Caitlin, Tayla she was just standing there deadpan. "come on Tayla" Abril said grabbing her arm and dragged her, I turn and saw Sam's face all messed up with blood, and standing right above him was Mason, I squirm out of Cailtin's grip and run towards them before Mason could land another punch on Sam, "Caitlin, please can you get him out" I say calmly, raising my hand up towards Mason, what was up with him, I saw his face, bags under his faded green eyes, what has he done to himself, I grab his arm, his jaw was clenched, real tight, Brittany stood beside him and tried to calm him down, I touched his hand, he repulsed to the touch and turned his pupils to stare right at me, his muscles relaxed and his jaw unclenched, there was nothing to say, I look at Brittany and Angela on the side, his mate James was even standing there in shock, Pete was running from the end of the block towards us. I looked at Brittany she nodded at me and I let go of Mason, his grip tightened on my hand, I looked at the ground and back at him and he let me go. I ran towards Abril who was dragging Tayla, "we should clear out before any teachers come" I whisper, everyone were staring at us, snaking through the tunnel and to the benches near the canteen where Sam and Cailtin sat, "we shouldn't disturb them" Abril says, "I'll be back in a second" I said, "I just need to talk to Sam for a bit" I said, trying to smile.

"Sam what happened" I state clearly, "he got mad at me for talking to you the other day" he says "ss ow" he yelps "sorry" Cailtin murmurs dabbing wet tissue on his blood stained face. "That was monday!" I yell, "I know! he punched me first and told me to back off of you, and no offence I don't like you" he said, "yea I don't care about that part, you alright?" I asked, "yea fine" he smiles "ouch!" he yelps again, "sorry sorry!" Cailtin said, gritting her teeth. "I'll leave you here with him is that alright?" I asked Caitlin, she nods and I walk away.

"okay so I wasn't there because?" Abigail said, "your not in our bloody science class, it happened then and there" Abril whispered, "you know that was pretty harsh what Mason did to Sam." Tayla said, we all looked at her in shock, " did she just say something normal?" I said, we all giggled. "alright guys I gotta get to my next class, and Mason's in it!" I said. "oh well good luck, and talk sense into him" Abril said, "Talk later,  Gabi's calling me bye!" we all waved off and I walk to class alone, Mason was a pace or two ahead of me and I couldn't risk bumping into him, I kept on asking myself whether to change routes but his conversation with Gage was too interesting, "I hit him because he was talking to my girl!" Mason yells, "She's not your girl, accept that you idiot" Gage snaps, "I wish she was, wait what am I thinking, I'm Mason McDonell I deserve better than her!"  Mason yells, "that's better, you haven't broken up with Hannah yet right?" Gage asked, "No not yet, and I think I'll take her out to dinner tonight" he said, I couldn't stand their stupid conversation anymore so I quickened my pace and walked a around them and took a left turn, the opposite direction they were going, I was walking the long way but it was worth it.

Class was boring, Cailtin wasn't in class and I forgot I was meant to walk with her, I sat in the furtherest left of the back row, where's Cailtin? ugh I've got 27mins of class left and still no sign of her. I touched up my little scribble on my book, and started on the next one, Mason sat 3 seats diagonally from me, not that I noticed but, "Afternoon miss, may I take a chair?" I look up and see Caleb stand at the door, ugh where's Abril when you need her? Mrs Merley started a conversation with him for quite a while before he left, Mason kept turning back around, I could hear the buttons on his blazer scratch against the edge of the table every time he turned but I never lifted my head to see if he was looking at me, I still can't believe he punched Sam though, how rude of him. I need to talk some sense into this guy, but I'll do that later. I look up at Mrs Merley and see that she was busy with another student, I pull out my phone, tap in my code and tap in Abril's contact name, 3:08pm Tatiana - you would not guess who just walked in!
I click my phone shut and slid it back into my pocket, picking up my pen and scribbling on my ink drenched page.

I click my locker open, "BOO!" Izzy yells, "Izzy not today" I said, "does this have to with something that happened after 3rd period?" she said looking at me, I didn't say anything "oh okay don't worry I'm use to the silence" I laughed slightly under my breath and close my locker shut, swinging my bag over my shoulder. My phone starts ringing, I fiddle trying to find it but once I did I picked it up, "hello?" I said "hey it's Cailtin, I had to take Sam to the nearest hospital, I think he broke his nose" she said, "oh my god really?!" I yell, I raise my left hand to block my ears from the noise of the other graders, "so where are you?" I asked, "still at the hospital waiting" she sighed, "oh okay sorry I gotta go, send me best wishes to him!", "sure, see you". I click my phone shut and I see Abril walking out of her clamped locker space, "hey" I said, "hi!", "I should get going, I'm meant to see Cace like in 20 minutes, she's kinda sick" Abril said, "oh my god I didn't even realise she was gone today" I said gob smacked, "oh well at least she didn't have to witness the punch and semi fight" I laughed, "yea that lucky duck"

we spilt ways and I walk out to the front on the gate, Mason seemed to stare at me as I walked only to hear James smack him and say "stop looking at her".
