"so what are we doing today?" I said setting my things on the couch, "I don't know whatever you want," he smiled sitting on the couch. I still couldn't get over how amazing the place was I just couldn't, it was amazing, full of things an artist would yearn for, "are you rich?" I asked him, "eh, not really" he shrugged, I rolled my eyes, "yea because poor people like me can afford this"I said looking around the place. He chuckled and leaned his head on my lap, "no dirty business" I murmured, "what?" Mason said looking up at me, "oh its nothing" I said playing with his soft brown hair.

"lets get productive" I said lifting his head off my lap and laying it on my back as i reached for the books inside my bag. Maths homework, science and i think it was English. "that's a load of homework" he said, "yea well if you were as smart as me you'd understand." I joked, he laughed and went over to his desk to grab a pile of worksheets and textbooks placing them next to my pile. I zip my pencil case and pulled out a blue pen and my white out.

Mason moves to my side and plugs in music into his speakers, they were loud yet comforting, I would always hear once in a while Mason singing but I could never hear him actually scream out the lyrics without acting stupid.

After a million years of studying, I finished first. I stood up gathering my pens and highlighters I pulled out during the period of intense studying, "are you finished already?" Mason said still writing in his book, "yep" I smiled, "is it okay if I look around?" I asked, "sure, why not" he said smiling. The place was huge, almost like a manufacturing place minus the machines and labourers. I walked around looking at his canvas paintings, watercolour and plain black and white drawings to sketches and templates, it was like a company down here, pencils and coloured stuff everywhere, paint brushes and paint scatted along the shelf with books about acrylic painting and drawing people.

It was a huge library, actually more like a museum. Then there was a white double door in the corner of the little cut off room, to my curiosity I walked right into it, at first the room was pitch black but as I pulled the door more open the lights flickered and to my surprise there was a whole orchestra in it, believe me I saw every instrument you could name, even a grand piano, man was Mason rich. I shut the door so the pounding music outside that Mason was playing wasn't disturbing the sound these instruments would make once I try playing a few.

The grand piano was what caught my attention, as much as I loved playing the cello, piano was the first love of my life, i moved to it, wiping off the dust that piled up over the years and lifted the lip up, it was some brand that was in another language, i pressed on one key and then another, it sounded way out of tune, I played the C major scale and it sounded like cats dying. so I walked around more looking at the different instruments, ah the cello, I bet you 100% the cello was out of tune, I mean if the piano was the cello had to be.

I saw a bag of tools on the side, with a bunch of screws and a few strings here and there, it looked like someone tried to tune the piano but gave up. I picked up the bag and walked over to the piano, opening the large lid at the back of the piano, scanning the keys and wooden hammers, dust flew everywhere, but decided to get tuning this beauty anyways.

Screwing one bolt and tiny screw and running back and forth to the keys and back checking the tune of the piano, by at least an hour I got it done, my grandad taught me how to tune a piano when I was young and from then I tuned pianos for my aunty, uncle, and for myself. I dropped the tools on the ground and headed over to the seat, I placed my hand on the keys and started playing, I swayed back and forth enjoying the sound and feeling pretty proud that I managed to tune a piano in less than an hour.

The door swung open and I jerked up, looking behind me, "shoot you scared me" I said putting my hand up to my heart. "sorry, play again" he said pretty sternly. I turned around and started playing again. "your talented you know" he said after I finished the piece I was playing. I shrugged, "not really" I said.

I rummage through my closet to find something to wear, dammit I'm going to be so late! I said to myself as I hobbled over to the kitchen in a mess, I grabbed an apple and walked out of the house. "honey you forgot your phone." my dad says walking over and handing me my phone, "thanks dad, bye" I said with and apple in my mouth, and my bag slung on my arm unzipped as I grabbed the phone with my free hand. My dad laughed and I press the unlock button on the car key as I hopped in and shut the door, swinging my bag over to the passenger seat. I put the key in the ignition and start the motor reversing and almost hitting the garbage bin.

"what took you so long" Abigail said, "yea because I swear you catching the bus got you here much earlier" Caitlin wailed, I rolled my eyes at them, "do any of you guys know where Abril is?" I asked, every one of them became quiet, "she's coming right toward you" Tayla whispered, I turned at her and smiled, only to receive a glare from Abril, her eyes were bloodshot from what I should guess was crying.

"Abril can we please talk?" I murmured, she turned and looked at me, "apology not accepted" she sneered walking away to her locker, I looked down toward the ground and fiddled with my fingers, "I've got something to say" Abigail says breaking the silence, "what is it?" I answered, "Caleb likes Abril, I think but I think we're able to get him to..." the conversation continued and soon turned into a full conversation. We had a plan to mend this problem and man was I ready for it to take place.
