Guess what?

"I've got to get going," Emma says packing her books up and putting then in her bag,

"aww really? Now?" I groaned,

"yeah mum needs me home, I'll text you, I promise!" She smiles waving as she walked out, I returned her smile and moved my head back down toward the pieces of paper scattered around, there was a comfortable amount of people in the library today, a couple sitting across me a few metres whispering and then a few other people to the back of me who worked in silence, scribbling notes on my piece of paper I notice the door to the library open, the squeaking made everyone turn their attention towards the door, and of course I didn't care.

There were no gasps or gossiping I could hear, so it was obviously some student that was either studying like all of us or checking out a new book, I shuffled around pieces of paper on my desk, dragging the metal pens I had across the wooden table, creating a low screech. Something or someone dropped their books next to me, that caused my papers to almost go flying and my pens rolling off to the edge of the table, I quickly picked it up.

"Aidan what are you doing here?" I asked placing the pen back up,

"I have to study, why?" he smirks, I nodded and continued, he didn't move beside me and the tension was starting to get a bit awkward,

"what happened to studying?" I said, keeping my eyes on my work,

"what happened yesterday?" he says,

"you didn't answer my question,"

"I just thought I'd find you here, there an answer now answer mine," he growls making it in a forceful way, which made me feel somewhat scared,

"I don't know," I murmur,

"don't ignore me, I just had to here you say something," he says pulling out his phone, I didn't say anything, not even look at him,

"have you talked to Alex?" He says breaking the silence,

"no not since, last year," I said,

"why not? He's been trying to get your attention lately," He says,

"why do you care so much?" I said putting my pen into my pencil case and zipping it up,

"because I like you too much to see you hurt, when your with me," he says,

"I uh I've got to go, I'm a little late for work," I said,

"can I drive you?" he says,

"No it's okay I've got the bus, it's only a few minutes," I smiled pulling the sheets of paper back into my book and shoving it down my bag, I swung around to say my last goodbye, he looked horrible, up close, his bagged eyes were a deep shade of navy blue, hair ruffled in different directions, he tried his best to smile, but I could see something was bothering him and I had a feeling it was me.

I had weird instincts, they weren't the best but I pulled him into a hug, I felt his warmth against my skin as he wrapped his arms around me, I pull out and he smiles at me, I walk off and wave as I reach the door.

"GUESS WHAT GUESS WHAT!" Abril squeals as she runs up to me,

"Abril it's 10pm I'm going to take a shower," I grumbled punching my way past her and up the stairs,

"I saw Mason in the hallways today," she blurts,

"ABRIL!" Caitlin yells, sticking her head out of her room,

"What?! She would've found out anyways!" Abril hisses back,

"so you two are on good terms?" I said walking into my room,

"no." they both say in unison, I give a slight nod and drop my bag on the floor and headed straight to the shower, a lot of things rushed through my head as I stood underneath the warm water, if Mason was actually back or if this was an actual joke, I didn't even know if I liked him anymore.

The water dripped down my back and arms falling off my finger tips as bits of it evaporated and floated off into steam, water made a funny sound, blocking out noise with a in-deafening sound that was yet comfortable, glass window fogged up in a mist of steam, and that's when I knew my time was up.

"Tatiana guess what!" Gage yelled, I opened my eyes and saw the sunlight, morning already?

"what," I murmured,

"I think I saw Mason at school yesterday!" he yells,

"Are you sure it was him?" I said rubbing my eyes, that was like the 10th time I got told that in the past 24 hours.

"definitely," Daniel says leaning against the door frame, I felt my stomach lurch and although I told myself not to feel this way toward him, a certain feeling of relief and excitement ran through my body, I tried shaking it away,

"guys stop, I don't want to see him or believe that," I growled loud enough of them to hear,

"but you're still," Gage say grabbing my hands,

"Ah the ring, unless it's a different one," Caleb says sticking his head in as well,

"guys get out, where's Abril?" I said,

"right here," she whispers hushing everyone to walk out, she says something and then shuts the door behind her,

"will you ever move on from Mason?" she questions looking dead into my eyes,

"One day I will, One day," I fade off,

"avoid him, don't worry we don't even know if it's him," she reassures me with a tight hug,

"yeah," I said sitting up,

"anyways me, Cace and Tayla better get going, we've got class starting in 6 MINUTES?!" She yelped, jerking upwards running out of my room. And in a flash the whole house erupted in either an argument or "have you seen my.." questions. I sighed and rolled off the bed and made my way to the bathroom.

I walked down the dreaded hallways and into the same old classroom, reading some book I bought a week ago, it was about some guy who got erased of his memories, only to restore them back by finding pages hidden around his neighbourhood, it sounds stupid and so cliche right, but I'm just reading it for the sake of it. I sat down on my desk, the room was already filled up with most of the students, I moved my books along to the edge of the table still keeping my eyes on the book, but I couldn't keep them down much longer as Mr Parker started laughing hysterically, which was something you'd never hear coming out of Mr Parker's mouth.

I looked up from my book and there was standing him, my heart started thumping, we all changed so much, it had been years, he was looking dead straight at me and again the world around me (yet again) became fuzzed, his eyes, the eyes I use to look at during the best moments of my life, the ones that cause me so much pain yet were there during the happiest moments, he looked just as shocked as I was, but I couldn't handle it anymore, the memories I tried so hard to block out were all seeping through again.

The first day he ever talked to me, our first date, the ring. The ring! I looked around his neck but saw no chain or an imprint of one through his shirt, I closed my book and touched the ring I had on my finger, I guess he moved on, he looked so different, taller, more toned, more mature. He then pointed his finger over at me, and then looked over at Mr Parker, I changed my hair colour, I lost a bit of weight over the few years because of the studies and work I was always occupied with.

and as he pointed, I saw the ring.
