"I mean, we could just sit and talk" he says blushing, I'm sure he meant talking,
"uh sure," I said putting the paintbrush back into the jar and walking over to the couch,
"you and Mason, how long" he asks sitting down beside me,
"a few months, maybe 3" I said,
"why did you break up?"
"because he was a dick and still is" I growled,
"hey don't be so harsh he still likes you,"
"how can you tell? He's unreadable" I roll my eyes,
"because he's a genuine guy, he just does all the crap he does for attention"
"how would you know, you guys live a state away from each other" I said,
"because we were once family"
"wait what?"
"we're divorced second cousins?...I don't know."
"wow, who knew" I said laying back,
"yeah I know right, not until I attended the wedding" he chuckles,
We continued talking, about all the different things in this world, anything that came to our minds, about his ex's (which was a lot of girls) and then mine, my first and only guy really. Aidan wasn't as bad as I thought he was when I first met him, I mean it took a long time to get him to soften up, and he did, but I had no intention of liking him after he told me he liked me.
I felt a little, let's say guilty after not saying anything and he was probably mad because he's never been rejected by a girl before, but I don't blame him. We talked for so long, it was getting dark the time we ran out of things to talk about. But the last thing I remembered was him smiling at me, reassuring that Mason wasn't going to come back and break my heart again, which was bruised and I hope Mason doesn't come back, so that I can forget about him. Forget it all.

"bro get off her!"
"wha? Shit sorry",
My head was lifted ever so gently and then placed on something cold, a pillow.
"huh?" I groan stretching,
"no no go back to sleep, it's early" I heard Aidan say, I nod intently.
"shit you didn't sleep with her did you?!"
"no I didn't we just were tired and.."
"you know what she went through" Gage whispers,
"I know, I know" Aidan replies,
"get out we're buying breakfast" Gage says opening the door, and the two leave my room. Does Gage check on me like this every morning? How does he even get out of bed this early in the morning, ugh now I can't go back to sleep, I sit up and look out at the sunrise that was turning into a nice yellow orange tint, the room slowly lit up, with the the warm sunlight. The curtains on the side hid in the shadows of the sunlight.
