Chapter 12- Working at the Offices!

Shelby's POV

We hopped in the car with Max driving. In about 10 minutes, we arrived at Walmart. "Decorations first?" I asked Max. "Yeah, why not." He responded. After we got a few more things to decorate our house with, we began to get food. "Can we get Mac & Cheese?! Oh and corn dogs too?!" Max asked excitedly. He looks so cute doing that expression.. I can't say no! "*sigh* Sure *giggles*." I said to him. "Yay! Thanks Shubs." Max planted a kiss on my forehead. I smiled and nodded happily. Once we payed for everything, I remembered seeing a Café on our way here. "Max, can we have lunch at the Café we passed on our way here?" I asked Max. "Sure. C'mon. Let's go." As we got inside the car, I saw a person oddly familiar looking go inside Walmart. I didn't think much about it, as I probably didn't even actually know them. We got to the Café, ate, and headed home. But we stopped at a little park nearby our apartment. "Uh, Max, what are we doing here.?" I asked him confused. "I just wanted to spend some time together, outside our home." He said and smiled at me. I noticed some swings just a few steps from our car. "Max can we go swing?!" I asked like I was once again 5 years old. "*chuckling* Yeah... Race you!" Max said getting a head start. "Hey! That's not fair!" I laughed but then also began running. Since it was so close, Max was already there by the time I got out the car. Once I got there, Max offered to push me. We spent a good hour or so just hanging out there, and then it was 6:35 PM. He gave me a kiss underneath a huge willow tree, then we walked to the car. We got home, and we put everything away. I checked my phone for the time, and it was 7:42 PM. Since our apartment had two bathrooms, we both got into a shower. By the time I got out and dressed, Max had already fallen asleep. He looks so adorable.. I gave him a kiss on the cheek, then went into the living room and watched TV. I wasn't really all that tired. Shelby! You have your first day of work tomorrow! As I remembered, I headed off into bed too. But I had trouble falling asleep because of the thoughts of working in the offices. I checked my phone for the time, and it was already 1 in the morning. Great. Soon enough, I fell asleep.

{Time Skip till 6:00 AM}

My morning sickness, again, woke me up. I went into the bathroom, but nothing happened. Well, okay.. I guess? I looked at the clock in our bedroom. It read 6:05 AM. I decided to begin getting ready, as today was gonna be my first day of work. I was done with everything by 7:50 AM, and so I went into our kitchen and grabbed myself some dry cereal. About 15 minutes later Max came into the living room, and told me to head on into the car. As I waited in Max's car, he came out of the house with a half-eaten corn dog. I burst out laughing. "What's *chew* your laughing *chew some more* all about?" He asked me in between chews. "*giggling* Well you and your corn dogs!" I said to him. "Oh, right. *chuckling*" He said to me. He began driving, and we had small talk, mostly about how I felt working there. Once we got there, we saw Ross' car pull up into a parking space next to us. "Morning Ross and Tim" I said loud for everyone to hear. "Oh hey Shelby." Said TimTim. "How have you guys been?" Ross asked us. "We've been great." Max answered while smiling at me. "Well, let's head inside. Its really hot." Said Tim. We got inside and we were greeted by everyone. "So, Adam. You told me to come to you first thing today?" I said to Adam. "Oh yeah, right. Well I just wanted to show you around a bit and tell you which office is yours." Said Adam. "Alright. Again, thanks for letting me work here." I said. "Don't mention it, Shelby." Adam told me. After showing me around and more people welcoming me, he took me to my office. I noticed Alesa's office was beside mine. And of course so was Max's station. Adam walked off into his office, as he had a video to record. "Hey Shelby!" Said Alesa. "Alesa! How have you been?" I asked her. "I've been good, just a lot of morning sickness. And you hun?" Alesa asked back. "Same here, really." I said. We had a bit more small talk, then I walked out of her office and went into mine. Just as I turned on the monitors, there was a knock on the door. It was Emily. "Hey Shelby. I wanted to come give you your schedule for today. If you need anything don't hesitate to ask anyone." Em said to me and smiled. "Thanks Em. And will do." I said smiling back as she left my office. I looked through my schedule and saw an 'Agent Shed & Agent Zed' video. A smile beamed on my face.

{Time Skip Till 8:00 PM}

As my first office day ended, everyone said their goodbyes for the night. We all drove off to our homes. "Today was great." I said. "Haha I'm glad you enjoyed it." Max said. Once home we got into bed, and Max fell asleep. I fell pretty fast too, but I had a few thoughts. Everything's going great. Today was good, and I hope it'll stay that way..
