The next day, my parents say that we're going to visit Uncle Lucy, Cissy, and Draco. Harry however, decides to stay home because he doesn't like Draco.
Mum apperates me with her, and we end up in front of Malfoy Mansion. I run inside to see Dobby the house elf. "I know you went to see Harry." I whisper with a wink. "Annabella, you really shouldn't be talking to the house elves." I hear Uncle Lucy say. "But they're so funny and cute!" I whine. My solemn "uncle" smiles. "Hello." He says, giving me a half hug. "Hello Uncle Lucy." I reply. Then Cissy comes into the room. "Anna dear!" She exclaims, hugging me. "Hello!" I reply, returning her embrace. My mother and father walk in, Mum hugging them both and father hugging Cissy and shaking Uncle Lucy's hand. It's amazing that their friendship is still going.
Cissy tells me that Draco is in his room, so I run up the many steps and into his room. "Draco!" I exclaim. "Bell!" He replies. I spread myself out on his bed. "Your bed has always been more comfortable than mine." I say. Draco chuckles, and I stick my tongue out at him.
"How's break going?" I ask. "Dreadful." He replies. "I've mostly locked myself away in here, reading." I sigh and shake my head. "I would invite you to stay at my house, but I don't know how well that would go over with Harry." I say. "Don't worry about it. Just be at the ball." He says. "Wouldn't miss it." I reply.
The Malfoy ball is a big event with Pureblood families. I pick out my dress very carefully, and I do my hair in an elegant, curly, updo.Mum apperates me to Malfoy Mansion, where guests are arriving. Draco comes out and offers me his arm. His tie is green to match my dress. Two Slytherins.
We go inside, where Draco's friends are. "Oh. So you came again this year." Pansy says. "Of course. I am, technically part Malfoy of course." I reply. "By marriage!" Pansy points out. "Still part Malfoy all the same, Pansy." Draco says. "Would you like to dance?" Draco asks. "I'd be delighted." I reply. So we head out to the dance floor. Everyone is waltzing, so we do a simple box waltz of course. However, being raised at these parties, we know quite a few complicated dances. So Draco and I dance the night away, avoiding Slytherins and laughing when we mess up, hoping nobody saw.
Christmas comes quickly after that, and I send out my presents late on Christmas Eve. I got Fred an entire box full of complicated potions seventh years may not be able to make, so that he can use them in his candies with George. I got George a broom repair and care kit, because I know his is in bad shape.
I got Draco a silver ring that is in the shape of a serpent, and it has an emerald for an eye. I got my mum a enchanted blanket to keep her the perfect heat, and I got my dad a copy of a book he wanted. I got Harry a shirt that has the Ireland quidditch team on the front.
I sent out more presents, but those are the important ones.
I wake up to a pile of presents at the foot of my bed. I carry them downstairs to the Christmas tree, and then go to wake Harry. After he's awake, (the same way as every other day) we wake up Mum and Dad and then we begin to open presents.
Harry got me a shirt with the Bulgaria quidditch team on it, which is ironic. My parents get me a new snitch, which I really wanted. Draco sent me a charm bracelet with a lion, a snake, a DM, a B, a broom, and a snitch on it. There's a note, which I unfold.
Dear Bell, if you're confused, the lion is to represent your bravery, the snake is to represent your house, the DM is to remember me, (Draco Malfoy) The B is for Black, the broom is for your love of flying, and the snitch is for your skill as a seeker.
Love,
DM
It's a really thoughtful present, and I love it. George's mum did knit me a sweater, which is extremely comfortable, although I prefer George's hoodie. Fred gets me a book I've been talking about for ages, and my final present is from George.
It's a small box, and when I open it, there's a heart shaped locket. I open it to reveal a recent picture of me, George, and Fred with our arms around one another. I love my gifts, and I put the jewelry on immediately. We're supposed to go to Uncle Lucy's for dinner with Uncle Sev. Harry has to go.
I can't decide whether to wear my Weasley sweater (which Harry also got.) Or George's sweatshirt. I walk across the hall to Harry's room to ask him. "Okay Harry, which one should I wear?" I ask, holding them both up. "I think the Weasley sweater is better." He says. It's a bit big for me, but that's how I like it. It's a beautiful green color, and I think it brings out my gray eyes, which apparently, I got from my dad's brother, who's in Azkaban for murder.
I wear my sweater with black leggings and UGG boots. We floo to the Malfoy Manor, where I smell food cooking my mum immediately goes to help, and Draco walks in. Christmas is one of the only days my cousins don't fight, and they actually act civil. "Harry." Draco nods. "Draco." Harry nods back. I punch them both. "Stop being so formal and let's have a seeker match." I exclaim, holding up both mine and Harry's brooms. Both boys smile, and we rush outside.
An hour later, we've all won four rounds, and we're finishing the last. I see the snitch and dive, grabbing it with one hand before pulling up and celebrating. "I got the snitch and you didn't!" I laugh to the boys, who scowl at me. Uncle Sev, who was watching smiles. "You may have some competition for seeker next year Draco. Harry may have trouble with the house cup." He says. "No way Sev. I have next year in the bag!" Harry says before landing on the ground. Uncle Sev looks hurt for a moment, but he replaces it with a small smile. "We'll see." He replies before we go inside to eat.
After Christmas, I can't wait to go back to Hogwarts. If only I knew the danger that awaited me there.
I can't stop updating!!!!
