Far too soon, it's time to go back to Hogwarts. Fred, George, and I sit in the same compartment, just like we do every year. This year, however, people don't greet me or smile like usual. Instead, they glare or ignore me completely. I know what it's about. It's about Harry and I seeing Voldemort come back last year. They don't believe us.
"Won't this year be grand?" I say sarcastically, laying down on the seat and putting my head on George's lap. He plays with my long black hair. "It'll be fine. You have us. Nobody will say anything to you as long as we're around Bells." He says.
A few minutes later, I decide to go and find the trolley. "Do you want me to come?" George asks. I laugh. "No, I'll be fine." I say. "Love you." He says, brown eyes looking into mine. "Love you too." I reply before shutting the door.
I find the trolley in the Slytherin area. Who would be there but Flint, Zabini, Pansy, and Draco. "I- um- two licorice wands, two pumpkin pastys, three chocolate frogs, and three pumpkin juices." I whisper. "Aww, she can barely order for herself without her boyfriend!" Pansy laughs. "Feel the need to eat your body weight in candy, Black? Blaise sneers. Flint laughs annoyingly. "I'm going to knock you off your broom on quidditch. Maybe then you'll have an excuse for your ugly face." He says. They look at Draco, waiting for him to say something. He must have told them he hates me. His stormy grey eyes bore into mine, and I search them for a trace of the cousin I used to know. He isn't there. "Move you filthy blood traitor! I wouldn't want to risk getting my outfit tainted." He sneers. I collect my things and walk away swiftly. Instead of going back to my compartment, I find an empty one, sit down, and start crying after I pull the blinds. I'm a blubbering mess. I don't know how long I sit there, but I hear a voice. "Bells?" It asks. Fred. "Merlin Bella! We've been looking all over the train for you! What happened?" He asks. "Draco." I sob. "What did that git do now?" He asks. I just shake my head and start crying again. Fred pulls me into an embrace and hugs me. "It's okay Bells." He says. "No it's not!" I cry. "I know." He says. "You don't know!" I shout. "You don't know what it's like! Draco and Harry were my best friends before I came Hogwarts! I told Draco everything!" I yell. "I can't do it." I whisper. "You can." He says softly. "You have George and I, along with Harry." I wipe the tears from my eyes. "Promise?" I whisper. "Promise." He replies.
Fred leads me out of the compartment and sees George coming towards us. He takes in my red nose and puffy eyes and holds me close. "Whatever happened, it's okay now Bells. I'm here." He whispers in my ear, his breath tickling my neck. We go back to the compartment, and I put my head back on George's lap while he plays with my hair, and listen to him talk to Fred about the joke shop.
Before the feast that night, Dumbledore announces the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. Her name is Professor Umbridge, and the only way to describe her is pink. After Dumbledore announces her, she actually interrupts him to give a very long and boring speech. I can already tell this year will not be fun.
After the feast, there's a party in the Room of Requirement. When we get there, the party is already full, and the music is loud. "Great way to kick off the year, isn't it Love?" George asks. "Really great." I smile, remembering the parties I went to last year. "They're playing truth or dare later. You in? Because if you don't want to we don't have to play." He says. "We can. I don't care." I shrug. "It'll be fun." He says, pulling me out into the middle of the couples to dance. Actually, it's more like hugging while swaying back and forth but I don't mind. Not at all. After the party, there's only a few people left to play. Unfortunately, those people include Angelina.
We all take enough truth potion to last an hour, then begin the game. "I'll go first!" Fred exclaims. "Bells, truth or dare?" He asks. "Truth?" I ask, slightly afraid. He grins. "How many times have you ended up sleeping in the same bed as George?" He asks. I blush and look down. "I lost count." I mumble. Everyone laughs, but this time, it's not at me. It's with me.
"George, truth or dare?" I ask. "Truth." He replies. "What's the craziest thing you've ever done?" He thinks for a moment before looking at me. "This!" He says before throwing me over his shoulder and running through the hall, yelling for Peeves, who follows us with water balloons. We stop in the great hall, absolutely soaked. George puts me down and we start laughing. He leans down and kisses me in front of everyone. There are wolf whistles and yells, but I don't care. Then it goes silent. I pull away to see Umbridge standing before us. "Please follow me to my office." She says in a sickly sweet voice. I look at George and begin walking behind Umbridge. She leads us to her office and offers us a seat. "Tea?" She asks. "No thank you." I say. "Me either." George replies.
"You caused quite a ruckus. We can't have students disrupting order, can we?" She asks. I shake my head. "And kissing in the Great Hall? Absolutely appalling!" She says. "It won't happen again." George says. "I know it won't, Dear. You both will be serving detention with me after dinner tomorrow." She smiles. "You may go." She says.
George walks me down to the edge of the dungeon. "She can't stop me." He mumbles before kissing me. "Never." I reply. "I love you." He says. I twist the promise ring on my finger. "I love you too."
